  • I heard on the radio today that you have to complete your self-employment tax thing by Jan 31st, is that right? For some reason I didn't think it had to be done until April and when I emailed my sales leader the other day about national insurance she said it seemed a bit early to be receiving anything.....confused but don't want to miss the deadline!!

Oh something else whilst I remember... has anyone got a notelet already done with "Lost contact with your Avon Rep?" contact me etc etc :)
I'd rather save making one if there is already an official one out there lol! Also going to do strips of my contact details and insert them into a couple of catalogs for the local GPs and laundrette and maybe even dentist... that way people can just tear out my name, number and email and I can get a catalogue to them :) Whadda'ya think? :)

I was thinking of selling Avon as a way of having a job that I can work around my daughter, voluntary work & studying. I checked the reps for my postcode & it was saying there was 9 different ones already! I know one of them is my sister (who doesn't work this particular area), and another only does f&f (I think she also does my place of work) but I'm a bit put off because of the other 7! Would it be worth me applying for it or not in your honest opinions?

Hello everyone, thought I would come and introduce myself as I hope to be joining all your lovely ladies and becoming an Avon Rep :j

I have a lady coming to my house on Monday evening to sign me up so hopefully I'll be able to get started pretty quickly after that. I'm a bit nervous but excited too. I want to have some territory but the area I live in is very rural so I'm no sure if there would be any available around here. I'm also hoping to sell to friends (but unfortunately most of my family live about 60 miles away) so I'm aiming to make a few extra pennies each month :money:

Anyway, just wanted to say hello and thank you all for all of your advice on here. I've read all this thread and much of the last one too and have been astounded by the amount of information and advice on them, so once again THANK YOU all very much! :A:A:A

    Happy New Year everyone!

Just wondered if anyone has the link for C5 and HT6 yet, or if I'm jumping the gun? I know the links were on the first page of the old thread but can't see them on here anywhere, and they only went up to C4/HT5..... I'd try and find them myself but I have no idea how to!

    C5 http://www.e-pages.dk/uk_avon/272

    C6 http://www.e-pages.dk/uk_avon/274
    HT6 http://www.e-pages.dk/uk_avon/265

    C7 http://www.e-pages.dk/uk_avon/275
    HT7 http://www.e-pages.dk/uk_avon/277

Thats as far as I could get up to at the moment

I'd apply and give it a go - could be that some of those other reps only sell to f&f too, and the others might not be that local. I registered on connects using my cats name lol but our postcode, and although me & oh are both reps, we didn't show up very high in the search even though we'd be the closest reps to our own street lol. Other people have tried, and it's shown them reps that are mile away in the next village so the list isnt very accurate. If you give it a go and decide against it - then you won't owe anything if you don't put an order in so you may as well try else youll never know!

if you were registered as self employed before April 2010, then you needed to submit your Self Employment Assessment in April 2010, or any time after that, until the deadline of 31 January 2011.

If you registered as self employed after 10 April 2010, you only need to submit you self assessment from 10 April 2011. You will then get notification from the tax office.

With NI, the National Insurance office will send you details again.

Good idea!! Did you use a different email address, or just the same one as you use for your usual connects login?

Had to use a different one as far as I can remember cos I don't think it will let you have 2 log ins for the same address.
