I'm just about free from their clutches (requesting PAC tomorrow)
Glad you're finally going to be free of them:TVodafone really need to sit up and take notice - 02 has dominance in the market over Vodafone and the Orange/T-Mobile merger could well push Vodafone from their position maybe then they will start to realise something is wrong?
My friend has been with Vodahell for 5 years - They too will be requesting their PAC on Thursday:T:dance:Quidco Payments In 2011 - £724.21

Warn your friend to expect calls from retentions or whoever pretty much straight away. Got my PAC yesterday morning, and between noon and 18.30, I've received 3 calls from them (which I missed - otherwise I would have told them to stop calling, I don't care what they have to offer, there's no way they're going to "retain" me).Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0 -
Can't decide if it's more depressing or cheering to find this thread and see how many people feel the same about Vodafone!
I've been with them for 12 years, and actually have never had a problem until recently but now that I have, their call centre bods have made it very clear that they don't give a monkeys. I guess for £35 a month, why would they?
Recently went on a dream holiday to the US and was the central contact for a group of friends but despite checking beforehand with them, my phone would not work. Hugely annoying and inconvenient.
Sent an email (also with an alternative contact number) asking for them to rectifiy it ASAP - 3 weeks on have still not had the courtesy of a reply by email or phone.
Two more calls and a second ignored email later and all I want is to get my PAK code and change to a different provider. However, they want £155 to do this as my contract is until October. I hoped 12 years of loyalty and paying my bill by direct debit every month with never a problem would mean the claim would be waived as a gesture of goodwill and apology.....
But no. I'm told they would only waive the fee if I was dead. Nice.0 -
Well, did you expect some kind of golden shake-hand?
Even if you were a loyal customer for a long time, it is very unreasonable to expect any 'discount' for leaving the network, is it?
Also it is not clear what kind of problem you experienced abroad and if it was possible to solve it remotely.0 -
I totally expected a golden handshake Grumbler!! And a Rolls Royce and a mansion to sit and complain in too, all courtesy of Vodafone.
Do you work for them BTW?That would explain your comments.

Are you serious? 95% of my comments are, to say it mildly, negative when it comes to mobile providers in general and Vodafone in particular.
I just do my best to remain impartial and fair unlike many other posters here.
And I don't like emotional yet fact-less posts.0 -
Are you serious??
(Joke)
I have no idea about your post history.
I posted on here today due to a problem I have had, and later responded light heartedly to what you said. Your previous posts I know nothing about....
To clarify, what I feel really upset and fed up about is the lack of response and help from Vodafone when I needed it. I have paid them without fail every month for 12 years and expect some decent customer service. But instead I had silence.
My post wasn't factless. What facts did you need exactly? I could pretend to be American and be a looooot more emotional if needs be.0 -
My post wasn't factless. What facts did you need exactly?
I can only guess what sort of e-mail you sent them from America. However if it was as vague as your post here, it is not a surprise that they had not replied (not that I am saying that ignoring e-mails is the right thing to do).0 -
No you're right!!
It was my fault my mobile didn't work abroad.....despite vodafone saying it would be fine when I called to make sure.
Absolutely right...I'm to blame and should say so.
My email was so vague and rubbish that it did not warrant a reply.
Illiterate people take a long walk off a short pier....12 years of being a customer does not matter as I am not literate enough/emotional/non-emotional enougn to say so!
Grumbler you work for Vodafone!! If not, then you should!!0
