The ref no is 8760935. I just want, after 14 days of waiting, for my sim to be activated. Surely, in this age of technology, this cant be impossible? In the length of time I've waited, i couldve sent a letter to my cousin in Brisbane, Australia, when I just want to text her!

Get to the back of the queue Megs Mum !
Well. Don't want to annoy you Sally, but I just logged into My Vodafone under the details of my daughters working phone, in there was another number in a drop down box. Intrigued, I dared to turn on one of my erstwhile dead phones, and, HURRAH ! It only bloody well worked ! (It took a month, take note Megs Mum)
We're getting there slowly by the looks of things. Just need a bag to return the unwanted phone they sent, port my number from Orange, register that on the Suresignal, correct the billing errors and vow never to deal with this shower again when the contracts expire !
Don't get me wrong. I'm still absolutely fuming. If I hadn't casually had a look online at the account would anyone have bothered to call me ? Apologise ? Let me know what was happening ? Of course not. Nobody has had the common decency to keep me informed at any stage so why should I be surprised now.0 -
LOL @ Leon
Well I got another email today as well. This is what it said:
Hi
Further to my email dated 1 December, I can now confirm that your account is active.
To find out what your mobile number is, key *#100# into your phone and then press the call key.
So we can discuss your account further, please let me know when you'll be free either between 1-4pm today or between 10.30am-1pm tomorrow.
Also, let me know which number you'd prefer to be called on.
Kind regards,
Jeez! Do they really think that I want to stay with such a shambolic company!
No explanation as to why they couldn't trace the account, no explanation as to why I didn't receive an acknowledgement from the CEO when I emailed there, no mention of why I didn't get a reply when I wrote to their complaints people, and no mention of the compensation that I asked for so I could compensate my friend, seeing as I had to use their phone to ring Vodafone all that time!!
All I wanted was a bag to return the phone!
Maybe I should go check to see if the sim is activated now too. After all, it's only been almost 5 weeks!
I'll let you know.
Sal

Yep, just checked and as I thought, No service, No network connection.
However, I did the same as you Leon, and logged onto Vodafone. LO and behold, there's an account number and even a mobile number!
I still don't want the damn contract though.
I wonder how long it will take for them to finally send me an envelope and to return the phone!

Vodafone Representative
Lee, I replied straight away to your email that you sent me (as detailed below) as I'm not at all happy with the response you sent. However, I've just been sent the usual acknowledgement email, so no doubt it will take another few weeks to hear back from someone, and still no further forward.
Please note - * I do not want to stay with Vodafone!*

You've been saying that for weeks Lee. Did you believe that sentence when you were writing it ? I heard nothing the last time you said that. And the two times before that.
You are as unbelievable as anyone else that works at Vodafone.
I have quickly come to realise that the first thing all Vodafone staff are taught is how to lie and deceive and treat customers like something that has just been scraped off a shoe. I have never in all my born days had such an experience with any company I have ever dealt with. I was with Orange for 20 years and they were bad at times, but Vodafone, you're on a completely different level all on your own. Absolutely Pathetic.
The initial ordering of 2 phones. A complete cockup. Phones delivered weeks apart. One too many phones. (STILL awaiting a bag to return it). Also received some SIMS and an order note for a completely different customer (bet he's as happy as me !)
Only one phone worked. A complete cockup. How long did it take to get a sim activated Lee ? About a month by my reckoning. Hopeless.
Registering a Sure Signal. A complete cockup. Can't do it online for some reason, ported number "issues" ("Systems Down" being the lie of choice or It takes 24, 48, 72 hours, whatever, sick of hearing it)
Porting Numbers. A partial cockup. One number went OK the other caused "issues" with *See Registering a Sure Signal above, as we went through the Registering a Sure Signal fiasco twice.
Voicemail. A complete cockup. Doesn't work with 121 dialled. "System Unavailable" message. On the live chat for another hour only for someone to call me and ask that I call back in an hour as their "System is Down" (exact words).
So you see Lee, at practically EVERY SINGLE STAGE Vodafone have cocked up and just couldn't be bothered to even try and put things right in a timely manner it has been just one "issue" after another after another. I am counting down the days already until I can bin your !!!! company.
As I said, Orange had their moments but by god they were 100 times better than your shower.
Annoyed isn't the word. Regards.0 -
Hi Lee, I'm waiting for you to ring again regarding the £100 overpayment to buy myself out of Vodaphone.
Would you kindly send me an email of the transcript of my phone conversations with you as I may need them shortly or you can send them by post if you prefer!
Cheers.Give a man a gun and he can rob a bank.
