i have a faulty iphone 4s that drains very quickly without anything activated. everything switched off
(whats the point of having the phone if its just a basic phone from 10 years ago).
vodafone acknowledged yesterday that i have a faulty phone and they said they will send a replacement out
and i will receive it today
between the hours of 8am and 10pm. the phone never turned up. having chased vodafone through stressful menus
and being swithed from one advisor to another i finally found out they never sent it.
i took the day off work and lost a days pay for nothing and stuck indoors all day now bored, cannot go into
work as a replacement for me already been made.
after speaking to a manager named adam darwish i still got no satisfaction. he told me that i MIGHT get one
sent out today and i might get it tomorrow.
on the basis of this they expect me to stay off work and stay in another day with 50/50 chance of it coming
but HE expects ME to phone up when they open at
8am to chase it again to see if it is actually coming by which time i have had to already phone my boss as
    early in the morning
to cancel another day so he can get a replacemnt for me asap and i lose another days wages, with the posibility
    of the sack.
after all the chasing gonna happen tomorrow they might not have sent it anyway and so i might have to wait in
    again friday.
i said i need a definite day of when my replacement phone because of the obvious above reasons and he said he
    cannot give me one and
that all he can give me is that the phone will be delivered as soon as possible. as soon as possible? !!!!!!? i am
expected to wait in everyday for this phone.
i said that because of this bad service i will come to the point of throwing my phones (i have 2 lines with
them) and sim cards in the bin and my wife will
do the same (4 lines total) and not bother with vodafone anymore, the stress, the waiting in, the losing of wages
and the sack is not worth the hassle of a stupid phone.
HE then asked me what can he do for ME to resolve this. i said to end my contract for me, he said he cannot do
    that.
i then said replace my phone (only had this line for 30 days) with a different handset so i don't get anymore
    future problems and
he said he cannot do that. i then said the famous trotter line of "why ask". i said no matter what i say your
    going to refuse so
YOU tell me what you can offer. he offered to refund a £20.50 line rental. what? insult me of what!!. he said
that's all he can do, then he changed his mind to 2 months line rental to cover
the cost of my 2 days off wages, phoneing them and chasing them, the stress they have caused me etc on the
basis of i might get my phone as soon as possible.
i then told him that i cannot handle this stress anymore (my father in law died last week) and that i will soon
proceed to putting all my phones
and sim card in the rubbish bin and to stuff your contract. the impression i got was he didn't care.
i told him that if i did put these in the bin and went and bought a pay as you go for on another network then
don't expect me to pay any bills,
don't send me letter as they will go unanswered, don't send debt collectors as i will not answer the door and
anything else in the future will be ignored
(ccj's) as i don't don't care as all that will still be mild compared to what you and your company have done
    to me which
includes losing days money from my work which loses food from my familys mouth all because of a stupid phone and
the company that don't give a rats backside to their customers
and the chest pains they have caused me so soon after my father in laws death. stomach acid is not nice!!!

Really cant be bothered to read all this, its more like a novel. Stick to the bare facts.

From the start of the long thread, you have a faulty iphone which needs to be replaced.

Take the iphone into an Apple store for a genius to take a look. Apple are very passionate about the credibility of their products and, should it turn out to be a manufacturing fauly, you will probably come out of the store smiling with a brand new phone in your hands.

And use 'Shift' keys if you really want someone to read your essay.
And sort out the mess with 'Returns'.

Have sent yet another email via the web contact form, as advised. I would've thought someone else should be able to have resolved the issues from the last 4 emails I have sent. Again, I have to go out of my way to resolve a problem Vodafone have caused. Fingers crossed that they finally sort this.

So its been resolved. I had an email from the directors office and they have agreed to remove the balance from my account. I also received a call from the web relations team who were really helpful and relayed this to me. Seems the person I spoke to in April had cancelled my contract but put a 30day notice period on it- astounding!! Shame it had to come to this for any real action to be taken, and to have an opportunity to speak to someone who knows how to deliver proper customer service unlike the rent a crowds in their call centres. Finally free!!!
