Morning peeps!
Its bloody freezing!! Ive whacked the heating up high because there is no way on earth im showering until the house temp has gone up a touch! Its time to get the blanket out for the bed I reckon.
Anyhoo, im tired, and one of my tonsils has started to play up, im hoping it goes away as I dont want to be ill. Ive got w*** today but the thought of jobhunting is cheering me up a bit, hopefully it wont be too long before I can tell them to stick thier awful job where the sun dont shine!
Yesterday was good anyway, I finally made some cushions for the bedroom and it turns out my sewing in a straight line isnt too bad! They look quite snazzy if I do say so myself! Im going to make some more this evening. I also gave myself an electric shock yesterday too which wasnt pleasant - I broke the fish tank heater while it was in a bowl of water heating it up for the water change, and accidentally touched the water with my little finger and shocked myself! Thank god it wasnt a really powerful one, I dont want to do that again!
Anyway, the house is sufficiently warm enough for me to go shower, so have a lovely day all!

:hello: Goooooooood Morning fellow OS'ers
Bit brisk this morning, might have to consider putting the heating on for an hour in the morning after all!
Fingers X'd for you BR, hoping it's today rather than tomorrow :j Congrats on your successful launch, TM :T You're right about the signings/free wine ... I can't afford to sign up for owt, but I may well have been tempted by the free wine  I'm sure Nels experience has been invalueable
Had a lovely time yesterday; the chilli travelled well and by the time I'd collected the lads from school and travelled over, we were all famished! It was so lovely to spend an evening with friends at their cottage (I have some very noisey neighbours at the rear and just to get away from that, was a treat in itself! ). The lads are now wearing their school sweatshirts under their blazers and looked good enough to eat - I felt so proud of them and as my friends are like the Grandparents they haven't got, and were equally proud, it was doubly lovely
Today I need to iron the 3 washloads from yesterday and I have some internet shopping to get on with too. Thanks to a fellow MSE'er, I discovered the financial benefits of some shops who 'sell' you an item online at a much cheaper price, but you actually go to the shop and collect it!! This saved me approx £6.50 on Monday, not to be sniffed at, so I'm going to explore other avenues like that too. :T :T
I need to 'feed' my Christmas cake today and check it's ok (from last year!) and think about how best to decorate it this year for when we go away.
Reminder: Clucking Disgusting, tonight, Channel 4, 8pm
Have some crafting to do later, time permitting, but I've pencilled in some self hypnotherapy for today ... well, it is after a long half term and I need the chill out time.
Have a good day everyone, ((free hugs today))

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for xx (add date). This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Good morning everyone,
TM - glad the launch went well, sounds like you will be able to drop some more clues soon, as to what you are doing once you are up and running!!!!
Rzl - really glad things have finally started moving for you, keeping my fingers crossed for today/tomorrow.
ageandjo - anymore news on your exchange?
(((HUGS))) to anyone who wants or needs one xxx
Well, im getting fed up with starting my post with, still coughing, still no sleep so will start it with the fact i forgot to put the BM on yesterday, and then forgot to take anything out of the freezer for the packed lunches today!!!! So, rushed down early this morning, and found some pitta breads in the freezer, and im now waiting for them to defrost slightly so that i can fill them!!!! Should be lovely for lunchtime, just a pain at the mo!!!!
Never mind, so i guess that means plan for today is put the BM on!!! I also need to do some dusting and sorting out. I have 2 little ones here thios morning, but one is at nursery, so might get the other one to help with the dusting and make a game of it!!!
Right, no sounds from upstairs, so better get that rocket out and get them up!!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely day
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Finally got the washing sorted out yesterday. Also had a maternity appointment which went fine. Bean is still floating around in my belly, but I was told that she should start to engage soon. Yeah right. She's already shown herself to be a bit awkward by staying transverse until the last possible moment. I have a funny feeling she'll only engage when she's about ready to come out.
Also went to a parenting class yesterday pm. Was interesting and very well attended. Glad I went...not that I had much else to do at the time.
Planning on doing some baking today. Hoping to bake some bread, and mince pies at the very least. Also tempted to make a jam roley and bung it in the freezer. We haven't got any custard and OH would object to eating it without any.
As for tea...haven't worked it out yet. Might be daring and do a cottage pie.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.0 -
Morning All,
I haven't read the thread through today, nor any day this week really, sorry. BIG hugs to all who have had or are having a rough time and congratulations to any of us celebrating.
I apprently have "rebound depression" because I came of my meds too quickly last time. Great. So its back to the Doc tomorrow, hopefully I'll start feeling something remotely like normal in a couple of weeks.
Am trying to keep myself very busy with the PTA and its working! Am in school this morning to retile the kitchen. We installed a cooker hood on Saturday and started the tiling but ran out of time. The Xmas Bazaar is coming along nicely too.
Right, I ought to feed my children, poor things have been suffering due to my moods of late - cue a VERY guilty mummy.
Hope all OS'ers have a nice day,
