  • Morning all :D

How cold is it today????? I broke last night when I got home from work and I'm sorry to say the heating has now been put on timer!

Feeling very productive and inspired by some OS threads I read yesterday whilst I was trying to get back in to the swing of things so I decided to go home and clear out all my kitchen cupboards and do a full list of what I've got :o

I had to thrown out a load of stuff that expired in 2005 as it apppears I have not gotten off my backside and done this for a long time

Anyway, felt much better after it as now I know what we have so I'm going to do some meal plans but dear OS'ers I feel I am amoungst friends so be honest how the hell have I ended up with the following in my cupboards & freezer! (and this is just the tip of the iceberg!) :o

12 (yes 12) tins of tuna!
    Approx 6kg of pasta!
    20 Langoustines
    12 Chicken Breasts
    3 whole organic chickens
7 packets of Roast Beef Gravy - The worst thing is I can't ever remember buying this!!!

    Anyway off to meal plan.

As always take or leave the :grouphug: as needed

Tell us more Queenie about this internet shopping malarky?
Well, my experience is limited ... to just one at the moment :rotfl:
A very kind MSE'er was offering a very fraught me advice about setting up my wireless connection and told me I needed a dongle (reminder aforementioned MSE'er it was a wireless connection for my computer and not a discussion on my sex life! )
Anyway, while chatting "MSE Star", did a search and found what I needed with PC World - as it turns out, we have one newly opened locally - "MSE Star" 'bought' it online (no money involved) and put my local store as a pick up point option ... boys were out and about with their Dad, so I text him the order number and off he went, like a good little courier ( :D ) and picked up and paid for the dongle :D:D If he had simple gone into the same store and taken it off the shelf, it would have cost £6.50 *more*!!! I was totally thrilled - who knew acquiring a dongle could be so much fun! :D

Anyway, if it works that way with PC World, I'm keen to know if it works that way with other places - so, before I buy anything, I shall be checking out the online stores first and if the pick up option is there for cheaper, I shall report back :D

    List so far:
    ~PC World (It's a start! :p )

(Note to self: Check out the other boards here and see if there is a list somewhere already :o )

Good morning all, on this very frosty morning (except AussieLass, when good warm evening).

just had some bad news-my lovely auntie has just passed away. I saw her the other week in hospital and she seemed quite perky. Dad rang last night to say he and mum were heading to where she lives as she had taken a turn for the worse, and he just rang again to say that she had gone.

If you are the praying type, please put in a word for her husband, 4 daughters and 5 grandchildren, who will miss her even more than me.

Good! This time next week I'll be out there sharing it with ya! :D What's the forecast looking like?

Not much to do today, only one site visit. Then I must pop to Tesco for some fruit to take on the flight, am booked in for a leg wax & pedicure this aft & it's a takeaway curry for tea. OH needs a haircut - I'm a whizz with the clippers as long as you want a No.1 all over!

Have a lovely day & stay warm!

  • Loubee - So sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family at this time.

I lost my nan last week and I must admit the kind words I got from this board gave me some comfort. Take care and remember we're here if you want to chat.
