my mom's cat used to do this - in fact, he had about three or four other "homes" on the same block, used to wander in and out without so much as a by your leave. It took mom a while to cotton on, cos both she and dad work, it was when the cat started putting on a LOT of weight, far too much for what she was feeding him that she started thinking he was going elsewhere.. and started asking around. After that they kept tabs on who was feeding him at any given time.. cheeky lil *bleep*.

sadly he got cancer of the hip in february and had to be put to sleep, but i remember him fondly.. wandering from one comfy armchair in one house back to ours... and thinking.. "Man, i wanna be a cat in my next life"...

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 2nd Nov. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

I can't believe I started this? Have I missed somewthing???

So you mean after my shenanigans yesterday, i missed today by a couple of minutes :rolleyes:

Its cold this morning (heating still off) Need to go and cut some more logs.
Supposed to exchange contracts today, but it doesnt look like its happening , soliceters cant get hold of one another apparantly :mad: , Im surprised that any one ever manages to buy a house.

Slowly braised spiced Lamb shanks and polenta were delicious last night and treated myself to Treacle Tart for after, felt stufferd, how many calories!

Going to do some Yoga in an attempt to relax, supposed to go spinning too, but must try and sort out some of this house stuff as soon as the EA and Soliceter is in.

S. Scampi and salad and some spicy wedges or BNS wedges or boiled Pink fir potatoes depends what I fancy.;)

good morning every one.

First frost here today of the winter. it looks gorgeous when i look outside. will go and put washing on the line in a min, just having my cup of tea first.

B- Toast
L - SAndwiches
D- Potato, cheese and onion pie

My daugther is off to nursery today , not sure how it going to work out as i have to stay but i have no one too look after my son. so he will be coming along aswell. not sure why i need to stay as my daugther is perfectly happy there, so will play it by ear

ITS FREEZING, DH just scapping thin layer of ice of the car!!!

Bad night here, phone started ringing at 2am, we always panic thinking if someone is phoning at that time it is important, so got up to answer it, and it was a old school friend of mine ( who has had a mental illness for a few years now) not spoken to her for ages, but was shouting that she need her pc mending!!! We werent best impressed!!!

Not much planned today, starting my peeps course at nursery this morning, then prepare tea this afternoon, banngers and mash with onion bread.
Boys at another footy tournment after school.

Morning N9eav, Aussielass and everyone else

First load of washing in already. Probably another two to do as well.

Going for the weekly food shopping this morning. Trying to use up what is in the freezers so hopefully won't get too much. May see if I can pick up some things for my Crimbo hampers - just making foodstuff ones.

All rooms will be given a once over - tidied/cleaned/hoovered.

No doubt there is also ironing to be done. When is there not?

Right, gonna go for a browse.

Morning!!!

Ohhhh I am not a very popular person here today:o
11pm last night I remembered I had left something in OH's van that I needed for today, so I went at got it but.................. I didnt shut the van door properly 5am this morning when he goes to start it to go into central London he has a flat battery:eek: Green flag had to be called and now he is on his way:D So today my name will be mud:rolleyes:
Seems like the house is a tip again:rolleyes: not too sure whats for dinner today I will have a dig around in the freezer for summat.
Freezing cold here and I must put the bin out in a mo in me dressing gown:eek:
