Hi All
Well last night was a wipe out - I was so exhausted that I just veg'd on the sofa. Tonight was a bit more productive.
Thought the washing machine was sorted but it has leaked again. DH is convinced he can fix it and I am too keen to spend money to get a new one! Well he can sort it this weekend or I am going to buy a new one to be delivered while I am off.
I also have a pretty embarrasing money story - I had set up a premium bank account to go with my re-mortgage about 2.5 years ago. It gave me a better rate. I remember at the time that the sales guy told me that I could cancel the bank/ac after 12 months. Well I didn't do that and have convinced mysefl that the extras are useful. So the other day I called to make sure that I could cancel the bank account without it affecting my mortgage rate and I will be closing it when the special rate on an associated savings account ends in about 2 weeks. That will save me 12.95 per month!
In other money news - I have managed two NSDs, two LSDs and not used my card once this week! I am going to aim for 8 NSDs this month. It will be hard but I really need to keep an eye on my spending this month!
Better go and hand up the washing and head to bed. Am very tired again today!

Have a good day.

There is definitely something not quite right - I barely did anything yesterday and after a good night's sleep I don't feel at all refreshed! I will get up in a min and start on the ironing pile I avoided yesterday.
We've got a few things to do today:
- return unused kitchen items so we can use store credit towards paint, tiles and other things.
- decide on tiles
- ironing
- washing
- visit dad and brother
- catch up with a few people on the phone
- try and enjoy the sunshine
- try and read and get rid of three work mags (they're piling up).
Hope you are all ok! Have a lovely rest of weekend.

I can relate totally to the way you feel - if you recall over previous diaries of mine, it was often my state of being....we push ourselves so far and expect so much of ourselves that we cannot bring ourselves back into balance as easily as we want to/should be able to, and that is where you are right now.
The sunshine will help - so make sure that on your list you get plenty of that - throw your windows open, get some vit D coming your way, and don't expect too much from yourself.
Make an appt with the gp - it may be your iron levels are low or that you just need 10 mins of someone's time for them to truly say "it's normal to feel like this"......but for today, just "be", but "be" in a very positive sunny way xxxSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. Thank you so much -
I tried to 'be' yesterday and felt guilty for not getting with things and not really knowing what to do with myself. I do wonder if it's medical or psychological. I had hoped to save my appt to when I am on leave but think I will go this week instead.0 -
Well I managed to get a Drs appt for next week. I didn't do anything last night as I had a sore tummy. I got home tonight to try and get on with the jobs that need doing but haven't been able to manage. So a load of washing was done and hung up, the dishwasher got a good workout, the bathroom was cleaned and a drawer was sorted! I'm glad I have got a bit of energy back!
Moneywise things are tight - I have been taking bits in for snacks and lunch. Tomorrow's lunch will be leftovers. I have been naughty and treated myself to proper coffee in the morning for the last couple of days! I also found some perfect 'pasta bowls' to replace the ones that have chipped and been chucked - only £12 for six as they had 20% off in debenhams. I've got to organise my household insurance by the end of the week.
Tomorrow I will go to HSBC to find out what I need to do close my bank account. If I can close it soon, I will need to organise my travel insurance sooner rather than for our anniversary trip.
Hope you are well in diary land!

Evening all - not much to report. Have been at home on my own which is a bit of a luxury. Still not feeling brilliantly well so rested for a bit. I managed to speak to my best friend for over an hour which was really good for the soul! I also managed to do a bit more sorting in the kitchen. Just a few more things to go in and I think we are nearly there!
Am looking forward to Friday which will be start of a big of a break for me!
Hope all is well with you all!

Hi Everyone
Not sure where the time has gone!
I'm now off work until next week. Unfortunately, I can't get out and about much because FiL is here working on the tiling - bless him! I hope to go and see my gran for a while this afternoon.
Lots to talk about:
Money (that's why we're here after all!)
I've come to the realisation that I really have not been doing enought to get me in a better position. I have been reading a book called The Richest Man in Babylon - i read about it on whilst lurking on someone's diary! It has really made me think about my attitude to money. I have always had easy access to credit - I mean DEBT! This means that rather than saving, I borrow on 0% cards and then work on paying them off. I will continue doing this unless I break the cycle.
I have spent the last couple of days reviewing my finances and have decided to make the following changes:- I still am not good at sticking to a budget so that is going to be my challenge over the next few months.
- Making my money work for me by finding better accounts to hold my savings
- Create a separate savings account for annual costs and set up a Standing Order to transfer the money in.
- Get rid of unused credit cards
- Get back to selling my unwanted items on ebay.
- I have cancelled the paid for bank account saving me £155 per year.
I finally went to the GP with a long list of things to get sorted. The tiredness has been going on for ages and really needed to get sorted. I undertook the depression survey and we agreed that I had a fairly low depression score (with understandable reasons for the occassional down times) so I will be going for a blood test to check for other causes. I still need to lose lots of weight but am hoping the health checks will give me a bit of informaiton so I can move forward.
Decluttering:
I really need to work on the 'clutter' that is in this flat. This will have to be done 15 minutes at a time. Clutter will have to go and what I can sell will be sold. the rest will go to charity shops or to the bin.
Am going to mooch around here for a little before moving on to THE LIST!
Hope you are all well.
