Ooh, running water will be fab :rotfl:
As for having hidden yourself away for the last 15 months, I don't necessarily think that is a bad thing......it is part of the process. What is important is that you recognise that you want to move forward and make changes, and you can start to think how you are going to do that now.

glad that the anniversary passed as well as can be expected. Nice one about the kitchen, I bet it will be so cool to have it just how you want it whilst it is finished.
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Morning Hypno, Evening Chev!
It's amazing how the little things like running water can be taken for granted! As for getting out there - it's quite hard when there is so much going on. I always feel like I am running around all the time. Over the next few months I am really going to have to work on my work/life/family/fun balance.
Having the kitchen installed is such a big thing for me - it's not just that it is how I want it, I have 'made do' for such a long time that it was getting on top of me. Now that it can be changed, I can really accept how much I hated the old kitchen. The doors are going on today so that will make such a change.
Off to start on that list!

Kitchen looks great now that the doors are on. We have running water and gas! Sadly there is still quite a lot to do before I can move in so we'll just keep plodding on. It's amazing how some jobs can take so little time whereas others can take hours. DH spent over three hours trying to get one drawer in and it still isn't 'perfect'. The rest of the doors took a couple of hours in total!
The washing machine is leaking so we can't use that. We're hoping FIL has a magic idea to get us sorted today or I am going to be really stuck! We'll take a load to the in-laws tonight if we get desperate! I'm going to havd to move away from my safe work uniform in order to get through the week.
Spent some time on the finances and it really is going to be tough over the next few months to make sure all the CC 'stoozing' is covered by the time they are due later this year. I need to be much more disciplined about writing it all down and keeping track of it all.
DH is now up so I should get myself up. I hate losing an hour in Spring!
Have a good day!

Morning All!
I am knackered. I had planned to go to bed early last night but ended up waiting for DH who went to the England game. We only live 20 mis from Wembley but he took some residents from work so had to take them back before coming home!
Kitchen stuff has finally lost its fun-factor. We've been making do with the camp kitchen but I really want a proper home cooked meal. We have the main bits in place so I will hunt for ingredients tonight and cook something on my lovely new hob!
Washing machine is still leaking - we thought it was sorted but I found water after doing a load last night. I'll get OH to have a look and see if I can find the repairman's number. If there are any issues and it's not worth sorting- I'll replace it but I could do without it now! Thankfully we have wedding vouchers that we can dip into so it won't feel painful!
Right! Better hop up. Have an induction on a programme I got accepted onto today so need to find something nice to wear that isn't in my backed up washing pile! I might even have time to do some ironing before I need to head out to work!
Have a good day everyone!

I am not surprised the camp kitchen has lost the fun factor! I hope your hob meal is fabby though - am sure it will be!
Thank you for your sponsorship too - it is much appreciated xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
It was a pleasure! It's a great cause and I know that you can do it! Am looking forward to cooking tonight. It's going to be a mare to find the ingredients but it'll be worth it!
Am waiting at the bus stop trying to avoid this strange man who wants to talk about his teeth. He tries to get me each time and it is the same story! Thank god for my iPhone which keeps me antisocial and able to talk to you!
Have a good day!

That's funny about the bus stop man.
Glad kitchen almost done, but boo to the washing machine, why do things fail when we really need them not to!?0
