Morning all!
Going to aim for a lazy weekend after the business off the last couple of months. To be fair, there's still a lot to do but none of it is too taxing.
Had a lovely evening to myself last night as DH was on a work Christmas dinner. I went through my finances and sorted my new savings accounts for next year. I just chilled and watched a film - a bIt of Keanu does a girl's soul some good!
Today I will be
- finishing the Christmas cards and posting them
-posting best friend's present
- collecting parcels from the sorting office
-buying birthday present for dad
-catching up on some ironing
-visiting my cousin and herfamily tonight
-a bit of tidying
-bake banana bread with some over-ripe banana s
I even think I may have money left over this month which will be great and help with getting things moving positively for next year!
Have a great day all!

How did it get to be nearly 1pm!!!
We did go to my cousins last night but I was so tired that we were home by 10pm
. I went straight to bed and didn't wake up until after 9. I still feel a bit fuggy. I think it is the ongoing effects of the cold DH decided to share this week!
From Yesterdays list:
- finishing the Christmas cards and posting them MOSTLY
-[STRIKE]posting best friend's present[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]collecting parcels from the sorting office[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]-buying birthday present for dad[/STRIKE]
-catching up on some ironing
-[STRIKE]visiting my cousin and herfamily tonight[/STRIKE]
-a bit of tidying
-bake banana bread with some over-ripe banana s
Today I will:
- write and post the last of the Christmas cards
- attack the ironing
- bake the banana cake
- one load washing
- visit dad taking a few things that need doing (he has a good dry cleaners near him and a great tailor who will be able to re-line my coat)
- take dad out for birthday dinner
I have paid the TV licence for the next year - early rather than late as last year! Thankfully my budget allows me to put the money aside each month for the annual costs and this is definately something I did not do prior to my MSE days.
Right - better get on with the ironing! It may even help me to get warm.0 -
Hi All,
Not much to report. My grandmother is very poorly in hospital and there isn't anything they can now do except keep
her comfortable. I am, if course, upset but just don.t want her to suffer. DH is being fab - Christmas is his festival but I don.t think we'll be able to celebrate properly.
I got paid on Friday but I wont allocate my money beyond basic direct debits a s we may need money for other things and to help out my uncle and dad.
Hope you are all okay and wish you all a lovely Christmas and New Year..

Thanks guys. I do have to report that I ended up having a lovely Christmas. Dad and I arrived at the hospital at 2 on Christmas Day to find gran wide awake.it was a lovely surprise. It's created lots of too-ing and fro-ing as she is very confused but as we are off work we can be available.
I do have to say I am knackered and your advice about taking time out for me is very pertinent Hypno! I have been going to the hospital alot as I live closest and my aunt is recovering from cancer treatment so gets tired. I know that I need some time out too this break as I am exhausted!
I'm at the in laws at the moment. Waiting four DH to finish watching the footie. I so want to go to bed.

Hi All,
Gran is much improving! She's going to be in for a while yet. I've been going every day but am now exhausted.this was going to be my rest and catch up with myself week. I'm not going today to give me a chance to 1, rest and 2, get a few things done.I was going to have a lie in today but the laws of sod has had me up since about 5 am!
I still have managed to do some shopping. Some jeans as my every day pair had ripped, some body butters that were reduced and a few other bits. I think I may go intoCentral with DH and exchange an item, have a look around and head back in time for lunch.
Here.so my list for today:
- washing
- ironing
- shopping
- exchange item
-face pack
-Invite friends for drinks
-read for a while (I have so many books but spend far too long on internet!)
- update spending diary
- put away Christmas pressies
- declutter 10 items
Well I may as well get up and get started!0
