I'm glad you don't think I am being mean. This guy only seems to talk to women and he has been having his wisdom teeth out for about 4 years! It's quite grim to hear but he seeks reassurance from each one. I'm quite minded to challenge him next time he tries to talk to me but I think that would be too mean!
Swinstie- I think the law of sod has something to do with thngs like washing machines. You don't realise until it bu88ers up how reliant you are! Thankfully we have the vouchers although I had been saving into a small emergency fund which had about £500 in but this way we can actually use the vouchers for something we do need.
Better get on to work - lots to do today!

going to say something now but you may have already thought of it.....if your machine is leaking from the back..have you checked that when you reconnected the pipes that the washers are in there....as without them in it'll leak.I say this as it happened to me.0

Hi Taxi,
We had some problems re-attaching the hose and had a small leak then - we thought it had been sorted but apparently not. Hopefully DH can sort it tonight as I am running low on clothes!
If there is a problem I will have a dilemma - the machine is over 5 years old and came 'free' with the flat and is not particularly expensive one. I could call out a WM repair guy for call out, parts etc to keep it going (if it is repairable and not too expensive) or I could just cut my losses and get a replacement. What would you do?

Hello Lovely!
I'd get a new machine, use the wedding vouchers and give yourself a new machine that you don't have to worry about.

Great advice although DH is hoping we can hold out a bit longer. We'll see!
Had some sad news tonight. A collegue Of DH was in a cycling accident and hit his head after a collision. Was hoping hexwould be ok but they are not going to be able to help - they are going to switch off his life support machine. DH is devastated and I can't stop thinking about this fun man who I only met at my wedding. I pray for strength for his family and friends- what must they be going through?
So sad...
Need to go to bed now. Hope you are all ok.

DH's colleague sadly died this afternoon. Everyone at work is understandably upset. They're not sure what funeral plans are as his family is in Ireland.
We had tix to the theatre tonight and decided to go ahead with our plans. TBH I think DH wanted to keep his mind busy. We went to see The Chilren's Hour with Keira Knightly and Elizabeth Moss of West Wing fame. We had a lovely evening and realised how important it is for us to get out and do things we enjoy especially in Central London. We are so lucky to live here that we really should take advantage of it alot more.
Must try and get to sleep now - feel very tired this week. Don't feel like we've stopped!
I do have to say TFI Friday tomorrow. The weekend will be busy but we'll also get some relaxing time.
