    Morning!

I have started to move back into the kitchen. Still a way to go and I can't fully move in as the larder unit is not yet fixed to the wall but I am making a start.

Having been so busy, I haven't really had to pay much attention to Mother's day. I've put aside some money to give as a donation to a charity that she would appreciate.

Today will be busy - need to run to Ikea to pick up some plastic roll to line the cabinets; visit the supermarket; go and visit my dad. I haven't been over in ages! We won't stop for long but I am conscious that I haven't been to say hello.
I havd also made a conscious decision to stop watching TV. It often goes on as background noise and to be honest there really is nothing on! I am going to do it for a month To see how much more I ca get done. When DH moved in he bright a massive tv with him that just dominates the living room!

Right - not going to get any more sleep so might as well get on with the day!

    Have a great day!

Yeah to moving back into the kitchen. I agree to some extent with the tele thing. But over here there really IS nothing on. There are some nights where on 4 channels there is nothing on that I want to watch...

    Hugs always welcome here!

Today hasn't been as hard as it could have. DH's mum's away on holiday so I havenMt really had to get prepared for it.

Today was very busy and spendy but we did manage to save money too! Ikea had a special offer on my plastic rolls if you were signed up the family card, so I joined up! Managed to use a £12 off a £60 spend in Sainsburys and Dad gave me a box of 100 dishwasher tabs for free as they don't really use their dishwasher anymore!

We went to visit my old neighbour whose mum died a few weeks ago. Her daughter and I used to bd good friends and she was visiting so was nice to see her.

We didn't get home until after 6 so we did a little more in the kitchen but still a fair way to go!

This week is going to be v busy and I really need to get my finger out to get the flat back into some sort of shape!

Tv - didn't watch any until this evening when we ended up watching Louis Theroux - I am one of those people that loves that everyone has different backgrounds and views but the Phelps crew - what the f&@k!

Buffy! Re - tourist stuff. DH and I have got a list of things that we'd like to do in London including an open-top bus tour but we
never seem to get round to it. Maybe you and I should go when you are debt-free!

Need to get some sleep now - hope this week is good for you all!

Morning Urg - I am not sure how I have missed your diary over the last few days, but I have so am just catching up.

Sorry about OH workmate - but a sure reminder that when your time is up, it is up, so make the most of what you have. Life is there for you to live, and to enjoy, in the best way you can x

Good to see you reclaiming the kitchen - that will certainly be good for the wellbeing feelings!

I hope you have a good week xxx

    Hi

Hypno - I really don't know how you manage to get up at such an early hour! Getting up is a real struggle at the moment!

So today I am on a NSD mission. I have brought in lunch, fruit and yoghurts so should be fine although I am craving junk food! Dinner will be leftovers brought over by flatmate with some salad and garlic bread (if I can get the oven cleaned out tonight).

I have a really long list of things that need doing this week -I daren't post it as it is too long but I need to make sure that I achieve some of these tasks! Today/tonight I will be:
    • aiming for a NSD
    • walking for 20 mins
    • Not watching TV
    • putting on another load of washing as we attempt to deal with the backlog
    • ironing - part of said backlog
    • give new oven a wipe so we can start using it!
    • cleaning and linining the shelves in the last two cupboards so the kitchen move can carry on.
    • Move at least two-three boxes into the kitchen (pots and pans; bakeware and a.n. other!)
    • Water the plants - they have been very neglected in the past few weeks.
    • Clean bathroom
    • Swap shower curtain
    • 20 minutes reading - helps me unwind and get through the pile of books that are just sitting there!
Some of these are only two minute jobs but if they aren't listed they won't get done at all!

Better get on with the rest of the afternoon. Got lots to do at work but not as motivated as I should be. Am thinking of taking a couple of extra days leave to have some 'time out'!

I have to be up early - I leave for the bus at 7am, and usually am at my desk at 7.45.....

    Hi All,

I am knackered! I had an early start at work and kept waking up because I was scared i'd not wake up in time. Observed an 'away day' today which was great and though provoking. I've got lots to do and take forward! I'm a bit worried about the extent of it but I am keen that I 'feel the fear' and just get on with it. Sometimes my great of failure holds me back and I need to get over that.

Went straight from that to my volunteer work which I was glad to do but I can be a bit hyper after it! Will take me a little time to wind down.

Managed to get quite alot of the list done yesterday and will work on more of it tomorrow. Am hoping for a bit of time out too.

Better go to bed - will try to do a bit more reading tonight to Relax.

    Catch up tomorrow.
