I will get the camera out as soon as I can, and take a picture of the ties, so that you can see the results. But DGD is just home now, so I will do it later.
She is wearing the little outfit that i made, so I am pleased about that.
She also went to see her auntie and the baby, which is probably why they were an hour late in getting home.
My neighbours have put thier house up for sale, and were disposing of a tumble dryer, so that is now rehomed in my shed, until we see whether or not it is a possibility I can use it, or someone else in the family.
I did think of Biggest of Mooloo but they do not have the room at the moment. So I have said I will hang on to it, and we will see. They may need it with the baby, even if its in the corner of thier dining area! We will see. Meanwhile it doesnt cost anything to store it and it was given to me. If I get really stuck doing the twins/DS's washing I can run the extension lead I use to cut the lawn out there.!
I havent asked the twins to bring the washing to me, as it would cost them around £8 in bus fares, something they dont have, and also they would need to carry it and change buses.
I am going to visit them or one or other of them on the days I go, so its only a detour between each house. Not a problem. And surely the back log of the washing at the twin2's house must soon be upto date. Then it will be easier.
Although I am sure it will be a catch up on Twin1's and I ahve a bit of mmine now to catch up on!.
(Only a basket full, and what ever DGD and I had used this weekend, so nothing major).
Molly popped in to see me for a cuppa and a chat, so it was advantageous that DGD was late. Good to see her, always is.

I'm fascinated by the idea of weaving the ties ....I cannot bring myself to dispose of OH's ties - still have a whole double rack of them in the wardrobe ....I'll have to have a look at your idea!

A friend, who sadly became a widow in her 40's, had some of her husband clothes turned in to a patchwork quilt. Maybe this could be done with ties? I have also heard about them being turned in to a waistcoat.

I just popped in to see Mooloo and saw what she had done with the ties. My first comment was indeed they looked like a piece of quilting and very effective. I can imagine that you could make a cover for a pillow or such like with them. Mooloo had woven them up and under each other and then stitched them.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Perhaps i have started a new craze. These parts are the narrow parts of the ties, after the "kipper" end has been used in the making of handbags. Hope to finish that later this week and show you all.
I just wove it like they do when they are weaving ribbons. The order I chose was the same order as I did the bags.
I havent done any sewing since I got back. I have been trying to organise the collapsed wardrobe.
(Canvas one with metal and plastic fittings). BF turned the broken bits to the bottom, and we have moved the chest of drawers and the wardrobe and i sorted out my clothes from that corner of the room. BF can now walk around the bed.! First time since I moved in here.!
I have a sack of clothes for the charity shop, one for me to recycle with my sewing, and a few bits for the kids. Started the second charity bag, but still got masses of clothes lying around.
kept about 3 outfits that I hope to ebay this week at some stage.
Bag sold at £4.99 and tie at £1.20 so I have to bag them up and get them to the post office today.
The weather yesterday was miserable so we didnt get any gardening done and I have a mountain of wet washing, as My cover on the rotary airer had blown down in the high winds a few days before, so its in the shed. I was not going to tackle putting that up in the rain.

DGD was up later then she should have been watching the toystory video, and I was recycling one of my torn scarves. I unravelled it during the afternoon yesterday, and then started to knit it into another one for her while watching Britains got talent. Knitting isnt my best skill, so I had to unravel a few rows when i dropped stitches. Its rather a fluffy wool, so I am struggling with it a little bit. But I am not one to be easily defeated. Well think you all know that by now.

Well I have had a strange day, and have struggled for the last 5 hours to set up my website. I foolishly believed the blurb that it would take me about 15 minutes. Ha. Struggling as I really am such a novice, but at least I have a domain name for a while and can build on it. (I hope).
I also have sorted out a business paypal account for future hopeful sales. Ha. If I dont spend another 5 hours on the web where I could have been sewing. I could have made two bags at least in that time!
Oh well thats the way my life goes. Nothing is ever easy.
I forgot to get the printer sorted out, so havent done the letter to the housing association, but its on the top of my list.

I took DGD to the park after I had been to the post office, and let her let of steam a bit. I actually managed to walk from my house to the park. Thats the longest I have done in quite a while. I was really pleased with myself, but I am quite sore now. (Which i suppose is not surprising!).

My parents came over this morning and they took away the boxes from the shed, and then DGD was playing in her box, that she calls her space ship, and after the walk to the park, she used her glue to make a picture with the leaves etc we collected on the way.
My button box was a favourite, and while I have been sitting on the chair with the laptop, she has been dabbling with them all, so my floor is scattered with the contents of my buttonbox, the washing up from our evening meal is still to be done, and I am worn out.

Tomorrow the man is coming to do the arial for the tv. (Not sure I spelt that right). Then I will have TV in the bedroom. YIpee.

DGD's mum didnt come over today, she had a job interview this afternoon, and was with her twin most of today as far as I can tell.
First time in a long time that she has missed her Tuesday visit, but I hope that she will come tomorrow instead.

Time for me to go to bed. I am exhausted. Night all.

Morning, its come around far too fast for me. Not sleeping too well, but going back to sleep reasonably quickly to have weird yuk dreams instead.
I woke around 7.30 so decided to get up, and potter.
Just catching up on the emails, the bank balances and those sort of things.
I am going to sew today, come hell or high water!.
I had some lovely plain towels from Mr A yesterday, so I aim to trim them with some pretty materials and turn them into something a little bit more special from my stash of bits and pieces.
Then see what else I have time to conjour up. It will all depend on how long I get help with DGD1. (Must remember the 1 and 2 now!).
As far as I can work out Mum and Baby are doing well.
I hope to go and visit her tomorrow if I can get the chance.

Bit achy after my walking and being on the laptop for so long working on that dam website. Its so basic and not together yet at all!
At least I got the domain name of mooloo's so thats a positive start.
Onwards and upwards... trudged the wiery soldiers!
