Normally I do, but things have just been a bit hectic. When it wasnt there last week, I just thought i had made a mistake in my dates. Hadnt realised it was wrong, as it was a new statement page. But I will not make that mistake again. Money is too tight at the moment. But I hope that i will be able to get a few bits sorted out over the beginning of the next week, and start to sell off bits on ebay, and get some sewing done that will make money and not just be for us. (Well thats the theory anyway.).

Your new DGD is a real cutie - many congratulations :j:T:j Hope biggest is enjoying her but I do feel for Twin2 :( It is such a shame that she feels like this but she did fight for her boys.

And I love the new outfit for DGD, it is lovely. It also looks quite versatile as I assume you can wear it as a dress, trousers or all together. My Granny was a seamstress and made all my Mum's clothes up until she got married - she loved the fact that she had unique clothes.

ETA Checked out the blog now too. Teddy is an excellent model! Lovely name for new DGD too.

Morning from a bit of a bleary eyed Mooloo!.
Last night I was playing around in my sewing room, from about 8.30 till in the end 12.30AM.! I usually go to be around 9!!!
I had hoped to cut out some fabric with my Slice machine but I couldnt get it to work, so I cut out a butterfly in card, (one of my Mooloo postcards!), and used it as a template to drawer around, on the bondaweb, and did it that way. Not so accurate alas, but it did the job.
I decided to Upgrade a towelling dressinggown that I had bought for DGD1, from Pat at Half Cost., Got it for I think it was £1, (If not it was £1.99).
Anyway I have trimmed its sleeves with some "Roses" fabric. Clarke and Clarke stuff, bit like Cath Kidston. (Was sold to me as! but wasnt), and then I swapped the belt for one made out of the same fabric, and the butterfly all completed it.
Then I started on the Tie handbag, but I had terrible trouble withit, and finally gave up.! I was having trouble with the stitches not forming and ugh! I was in dispair.
It will sit on the sewing machine till I get back from Oxford now.
DGD is going to see her Mum this morning, and off to see her grandad tomorrow. (This is the first visit since the new years eve one). She is excited. I hope that it goes well. Took them a while to re-arrange a weekend. But finally its here!.

Biggest of Mooloo is doing so well with the baby. Her tummy hurts, but her BF is helping her. Dotting Dad. Thank goodness cos in the beginning they were arguing a lot and I had nightmares of her being left high and dry!

I have been doing the twins/DS's washing all week, and I am still doing it! Last lot in now. Till I go back today and get more no doubt. But that will have to wait until I get back from seeing my BF. He has hurt his knee sailing on Wednesday and is all strapped u. So we will not be running or hiking this weekend.

Well I am back from Oxford, watching the grand prix, but thought I would update before DGD1 is returned, she is due back at 3pm.
I havent heard anything from any of them since I visited on Friday morning, and brought the washing back.
DS is still going to work, which is good, and seems to be enjoying it. So pub work is obviously in the blood.
Twin2 is vey low, and I am worried about her. Twin1 was supposed to be having some help this weekend to clean the carpets in her little house. Lets hope that that all went well, and that its a different sight when I next got to see her.
DGD1, is supposed to be going to visit her auntie and new cousin, before they come back home.

I had a quite weekend with BF, and we went out to lunch yesterday. Limited by his knee and my usual distance abilities, so we didnt go far. I did do the two charity shops below the restautant, and bought a small zip, 20p in one, and a mans silk jade green shirt, for £2.99 want to use the fabrics on my bags.
I used the rest of the ties, to weave a square, may use for a bag, or may use for a cushion cover. We will see. As I was sewing with ties, BF gave me 3 of his that he was throwing out. (had thrown into the bin in the bedroom). So I have a few more to add to a collection now. It takes 15 ties to make that first bag. But then I was able to use the remains of the ties for a smaller bag, and the woven panel.
I will be raiding all the charity shops now for ties! as well as the other things that I source and use.
(I did look at the duvet covers but didnt see any that would make what i wanted.) Which is just as well as I have so many ideas on the go now.
My Dad's Parrot tie has one bid on ebay, so thats sold, be it for 99p. Better then nothing. My patchwork bag has also got one bid, at £4.99 start price that i put on it. So that also will be sold by tonight.
The other odds and sodds are still without a sniff, but that doesnt surprise me.
I am now doing the first of several more washing loads for the kids. Washer woman now. OH well its an easy job to do.
Not sure what I shall do for our tea, it will depend what DGD1 has had for her lunch.
My BF is going to follow through and come over this evening, (after he has eaten), so thats something of a bonus for us.
it also means that he has asked his daughter to go to her mothers to go to work in the morning, or he wouldnt have been able to come over.

I'm glad you've had a good, DGD free weekend, Mooloo - it makes for a better break for you and BF. Maybe with his knee injury BF might also realise how frustratingly restrictive it can be to have a physical impairment - and he might be a little more patient with you than he sometimes is!

You know only too well that you cannot protect the twins from what life throws at them - maybe they might start to grow up a little with all that has gone on around them, with Biggest Mooloo having her baby etc etc. You've probably thought of this - but how about suggesting that the twins bring their washing to you - and that in return for you doing a load, whilst it is washing, they work for the same time in the garden? Or will that bring more complications/hangers on than would be worth it? Just a thought!

I'm fascinated by the idea of weaving the ties ....I cannot bring myself to dispose of OH's ties - still have a whole double rack of them in the wardrobe ....I'll have to have a look at your idea!
