Mooloo you might want to remove the photo of your DGD from your homepage, the entry date Tuesday 24th May 2011 as this photo isn't pixalated. As Gizmo said already last hurdle and it would be heartbreaking for you if someone was to contact SS.
    *SIGH*

Oh Bother, I put the new one up and forgot that one. Ok I will go and sort it out. Thanks.
The last few days have been a bit of a blur, not quite getting done what I wanted to get done, etc etc. Lost my momentum sort of.
    Oh well cannot be helped.
Managed to have a 10 minute cuddle of DGD2 today as her daddy needs me to alter his jeans for him so I called by on the way back from dropping off the washing for DS and twin2.
Called in to see my mum cos could you believe I had forgotten to take any pins with me! me a dressmaker of so many years forgot to take them!
I did too much gardening in the morning yesterday, while awaiting and watching the man/his nephew ham job the aerial on the roof!.
Then I went to scour the charity shops and lost track of time.
    thankgoodness for Molly's daughters help,
I was in bed by 7pm and lights out by 9.15pm ! My back/arm/neck said "hey your know you have spondylosis your not a spring chicken, slow down".
so today I was up at 6am, with a pot of tea in my teasmade, and the heat pads on. I read a book, and pottered until 9am. Then we went out around 9.30.
Opened my front door and my car is surrounded by electricity barriers!
They are coming to remove the overhead power and stick it under ground.
I had to move a come to get out, and when I got back they had fenced my area off. So I drove up to two work men, told them that they are a week early, that I cannot walk far, and please can they let me park until they need to dig that bit up. So they moved the barriers and my car is outside. Howver I have to move it when they start tomorrow.
Lets hope I am back to normal tomorrow then.

The Social Services are due here in 20 minutes. The Chairwoman of the LAC meetings and the social worker assigned to us, who has never once seen her, or been in touch.! Ha . Dont get me started.

EE> No I missed the Housing, but I will catch up.
My Neighbours have been on at me too, not in a bad way, but when are the housing going to do anything etc etc etc.
I have just had too much to deal with, and havent felt up to that particular battle. Such is life.
I will recouperate my energy and start again in a day or so.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

    Gosh, well Afternoon already!
I didnt fire up the laptop first thing as I was reading in the peace and quite! DGD didnt wake up until around 8.30!! Yipee. 2 hours of peace.
then I was sorting out the work space ready for some sewing, and the gardening tools. Molly, her son and daughter came this morning, and between us we tackled the front garden. Molly sat on the stairs and directed the troops, and then her daughter occupied DGD out of the way around the back, with the paddling pool, etc up. We put it up near to the shed, on a Tarpauline. Hopefully that will be safe there.
I am whacked but the garden out the front looks a lot tidier, and hopefully we will be able to keep on top of that one. The ground elder is the main problem to deal with. I will need to research that, still not got around to that.!! I am getting worse in my old age.
Now I am going to have an hour sewing, while DGD is still in the capable hands of Molly's daughter. Molly has taken her son back home to recouperate! bless him.
This afternoon/evening I am going to take DGD with me and go to oxford for the weekend. BF has to play Taxi driver at 7.30am both mornings for his DD, so he cannot come here alas. (I could have done with him helping me with the old flower beds and the grass out the back!!- Oh well). I will get a rest there though, which is probably better for me.
Today is our 7th anniversary of meeting.(again after school years). Been a rollercoaster of 7 years but here we are!. I had sort of planned to do us an nice romantic meal once DGD was in bed. But going to his its impossible to do with his young adults and thier mates in and out of the house.!

    Right sewing calls.

The best thing to do for Ground Elder is to treat the leafy growth with Glyphosphate, which is systemic so goes right down to the roots. Keep treating any new growth that appears after the treated stuff keels over.
There's no point in digging it out as the tiniest piece of root broken off by the digging will simply grow into a new infestination.

    Fab!!

I have a friend who is always doing a Malapropism - for eg. 'my mind is in turbo' (turmoil) but her version sounds so much more descriptive, don't you think?:)

I was pretty sure that's what you meant, but I much prefer infestination, and it is very appropriate for ground elder which is much trickier than a mere infestation to get rid of! :rotfl:
