Well I have finally finished the outfit for DGD1.
She is still wearing it and will not take it off so thats a success then. Although the hat is at school. May have to see about making another hat and swapping it. Will need to go and collect the hat so that it completes the outfit for her weekend away. If the weather is any good of course!.
The dinner is cooking and the time is moving fast this afternoon.
Talking about the future with Molly's daughter, and the things I want to experiment with and the things I would like her to help me with. Including photography and blogs! Then perhaps I can get some feedback about things.
    crop_paige_pinkedit.jpgpicture duly cropped!:D

Awww, what an adorable outfit! I'm not surprised she won't take it off.
I think a blog is an excellent idea too, I'd love to read it. Molly and her daughter sound lovely :)

I hope your day got less stressful as it went on!

Fantastic outfit, you are so talented!

Not really, its quite basic stuff, I think that the fabric just spoke to me and I saw it as a dress the minute I saw it. Although I was thinking of a more 60's inspired thing originally until I saw the pattern in a charity shop and thought I know what that would make! And had to buy it. Although I would make a few bits differently to make them neater etc if I make them again.
I may use the trousers basic pattern and move the pockets about a bit and of course with different fabrics they will look so different.
she needs new clothes so this is a perfect way of getting a unique wardrobe for a little outlay. So its MSE at its best.

I have cut out another hat, this time I am going to make it lined better. So it looks neater. I have used some different fabric with little people on. See what it turns out like anyway. Then I have a couple of handbags that I should have tackled since March! Oops Sorry people.

Can't believe how much she's grown! You're doing a fantastic job M. My daughter still loves her Disney cushion which you made. I just showed her the hat and outfit you made and she loves that too. Maybe you could sell them on ebay too? x

Thanks for the vote of confidence. Not sure I would know what to charge for it all.
It took me a few hours to make each day, so if I was to add my time in then I would need to have a good price and a buy it now? I shall do a bit or research I suppose. But the hats may be a good seller. They only take a little bit under 2 hours once everything was cut out.:D

Morning, been awake a couple of hours on and off, and up about an hour. My neighbour snores so badly it disturbs me in the night! This morning I sat up in bed reading and it was so annoying i had to get up.! (Must remember no wild passionate nights in our room then or it might be overheard! - as if!)
I had a bit of a mad moment last night and at 10 oclock I started to make another hat for DGD1. Finished it at 11.10! So although it has a few wringles in the wrong places at the top, due to a technical problem. The circumfrence of the top was bigger then the body! oops, and the interfacing wouldnt stick to it!, I am reasonably pleased and would indeed fully line any other hats that I do for her/anyone else.

I am off to see the boys this morning, and take back some of the copious amounts of washing to DS and twin2. Then the housing officer is coming today......well she is supposed to come today.
    We will see.

Argh! I have just realised that I have not had my ESA this month! No wonder the bank of Mum is empty! What time do they open thier offices. Grr another thing to chase up. So angry. So very very angry.
As if I didnt have enought to chase.

Well I am home after seeing my boys, and then we popped in to see the new baby on the way home. DGD said her crying was too loud! But she was gentle when she held her. We didnt stay long as unfortunately it was very upsetting for twin2. Although she did eventually come forward for a cuddle before we left. The emotions are a bit high, bless her. I gave her the cuddles and attention, quietly and told her that I was there for her, and that I would help her as best as I can. That nobody will blame her, that she did her best, and she has faught hard for hers, etc etc
But its a mixed blessing really isnt it. And a bit of a blow to her, loosing hers as the new baby arrives.

The housing officer came to do my 6 month check etc. Went on about the garden, but unfortuantely again it was raining when she was here so she didnt get to see much of it, but I showed her the chicken wire and the box of glass etc. The best she can do is refer me to a Tenancy support group or something, that may be able to get me some volunteers to help, becuase of my health issues. But to send my Video and a covering letter to the manager as her hands are tied etc etc etc. She did say that if I cleared it they would take away the stuff! Ha! I said what if DGD finds a syringe or something? So the letter will need to be written fast as the Social Services are now passing the buck again after saying they would try to fund it as they were insisting it was made safe. Here we go again.

My ESA has finally been paid to me after telephone calls etc. "A computer glitch" was the cause! Ha. I will be checking my bank account every thursday from now on!
How much money do they make in the bank keeping all the money for an extra week!

  • Mooloo I would advise checking your banking online daily anyway. It only takes a couple of minutes and will mean you are and you feel so much more in control.

Congragulations on the baby, she and mum deserve all the celebrations but I can imagine how hard this is for Twin2 and you all as its the time you are losing the boys for a while. Take care
