Glad you had a good weekend with BF, things will even out over the next few months.
I've had an horrendous week at work - nearly attacked by a family member with a jack from their car - on the funny side all the neighbours suddenly had windows to clean. That all sorted itself out with the help of the police and then on Friday night I found out a freind had died - he was found by his next door neighbour just outside his bathroom, suspect heart attack.
My kitchen sink flooded and took me all weekend to sort out with a clueless plumber. The cupboard underneath the sink is now all blown with water damage.
A freind rang earlier - her lodger was screaming drunk and passed out in the hall and wet herself all over the carpet, we were considering paramedics as she was in such a state (age 53 mind:eek:) but she woke up and staggered up to bed. Eviction notice for her tomorrow I guess.
My best mate is having chemotherapy after masectomey and having horrendous side effects
And the exhaust on my car seems to be making a funny noise - its in for service and check Wed.
And to top it all my daughters idiot BF is coming to tea tomorrow:p
I need a holiday!
Major hugs for gizmo xx
Thanks for altering my top Mooloo xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

I need a holiday!
Oh Gizmo, what an awful time. My heart goes out to you.
Reading your post has put my world back into perspective.
I am lucky, at last things are getting better for me.
I am now going to be gaining some of my time as DGD is going to Nursery 3 mornings and 2 afternoons a week, and a friend is coming to help me with her on one afternoon a week.!
My new house is warm, and will be comfortable when I finally find a home for everything.! Energy willing.
I was thinking I need a holiday, but I think Gizmo your needs are greater then mine.
Lets hope that some of my good luck is given back to all those who need it!.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Have had a visit from Molly today. good natter and it helped me to see some things in a better light. Things that have been running around in my head for a while and some things that have come to the surface over the last few weeks.
I am still doing battle with the council over my housing and council tax benefits. The new adjustment arrived and is still in correct.!
So back on the phone to them again!.
Useless.
I picked up DS as he had miss placed his bus pass and wallet. Gave me a captive audience when I started to speak to him about the things and the way that things must alter. We will see what happens. At least neither of us lost our temper.! Always abonus. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well I have finally taken the plunge and ordered a garden shed. Budget still, with base frame, tin of colour treatment, £220.80p. So hopefully I can save my lawnmower from the elements soon! But whether DS will help with it? Who knows.
Going to MK with my parents tomorrow. Will keep eye out for curtain fabrics so I have a swatch of the carpet in my bag for comparisons.
DGD watching TV, far too close to screen. Everytime I look she has edged back again!. Its bedtime now. Hopefully no tantrum, I am so tired after such a bad nights sleep last night and later nights over the last few days then normal.
Hope that everyone had a better day today, and that tomorrow is even better.
Hugs to those that need them. Mooloo xWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Evening,
What an exhausting day I have had!.
I was awake at 6.15 to kick DS into touch for college. I made a cuppa and sat with my Sew Mag, using my Blulite. What a difference in just sitting with it for 20 mins. I started the day in such a better mood. Of course the lovely sunshine also helped, as would be meeting up with my parents.
I was even dressed before 8am! (Which was just as well as the workmen arrived to clear the garden (again).
DGD did moan about going to nursery, but she did go and enjoy it.!
I took it slowly in MK, and we targeted the one area as we cannot go around much of it, due to walking distances and the pain we get from walking these days.
Mum suggested the market, and I was so chuffed. I found some tabtop curtains in a lovely orange, for £4! We couldnt believe it. They must have been meant for me as they were the only pair left. They are already up!
I managed to get some sandals, and some shoes for me, and we endulged in fun with my Wellies! Purple flower power.
In the £ shop, I bought some scratch mittens for new baby due, and baby brush, some little hotwater bottles.
I bought a 6 yrd length of a beautiful purple fabric, used for sari? possible, fr £20. Except I am going to make a skirt possibly a tunic too.
Mum bought a green length to make some anti macassars (she is going to have a lot of fabric left over!).
Dad patiently carried bags and sat outside shops while we shopped!.
I cannot remember when I last enjoyed shopping, and didnt feel guilty as I could actually afford my purchases without robbing Peter to pay Paul.!
But I promise that everything was very much on the mse mantra.
Dad then took us out to dine. Heaven. A beautiful restaurant in one of the villages on the way home. Mum and I felt like we were on holidays, driven to the shops, our bags carried, fed too!. The sunshine also helped us.
But boy am I in pain now!.(well more than normal level anyway).
So its an early night for me. Twin1 is here so she is reading DGD her bedtime story. DS put my curtains up for me, ate his dinner, (i had left the slowcooker on), and is now ensconced in his room with his xbox again.
He is now only a few hours behind on his course work, thats in the workshop, so hopes to be back up with his class by end of the next week.
Lets hope so.
I am going to take a cup of tea, a heat pad, (all medication prescribed), and get to bed. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Hope you're ok Mooloo. It seems strange when I don't see your thread updated on a week day.0
-
I was thinking the same thing. x0
-
Hope it is just computer glitches that is keeping Mooloo away from posting - and that she and all her family are okay.
We miss checking up on you!0
