I agree a really good tip about the pjs. I have done that many times when working nights as a midwife. I used to get home from work absolutely dropping with tiredness but I had to drop off at school. I used to have a shower and change into my pjs, put my long coat over the top so that when I got home I could just sink into my bed and was asleep as my head hit the pillow!

I have a lot of jogger bottoms that are also very comfy and I often spend the day in them and it i have to go out it really doesnt matter!

Hope you have had a restful day and that DGD feels better soon xx

Hi Molly, I think I really need to rethink my wardrobe! I have still got too many suits etc hanging in the wardrobe and apart from the odd important meeting they never are really used. Now its jeans, jeans and more dam jeans.
Having always been a skirt person and always looking my best when I ran the pub etc. I still find jeans rather depressing. Practical but depressing.!
Like so many other mums I am fed up of looking "down at heel" all the time.

DGD is Ok. She is playing, just very snuffly. She asked to go to Nursery about 30 minutes ago. So must be feeling better. So hopefully she will go tomorrow, and I can get my sewing machine out and get started on bein Mooloo again.

I have to confess to ordering some Mooloo bits from Vistaprint yesterday. Labels and the like to get my self motivated and to make some gifts etc etc. Lets face it I have a beautiful granddaughter I can make clothes for, and anothe one on the way. And two boys who I can also make for.

Never mind the ideas that have been running around in my head for months and months.

My parents may be coming to see the house tomorrow. They only briefly saw it when the builders were still in it.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

shock horror my solicitor just rang me back. He is waiting for the legal department of SS to agree funding for the application to court. thats the hold up.
they say its becuase Twin1's solicitor is no longer representing Twin1 (due to contact problems), and so there is no one to instruct the legal department that Twin1 is in agreement of my guardianship! So its all very frustrating.
Twin1 is home sick. So not going to come to see us today. she has been ill for a little while now. Missing contact on Friday as well.
Have given her instructions to ring her solicitors and see whats happening, but unless someone is there holding her hand I am not sure it will hppen.

DGD wants to go to the dancing lessons that are in Towcester this afternoon, but I am reluctant to take her as I think she is not well enough really, (Good that she is keen, but that hall gets quite cold and I dont thnk its the best idea). Trying to get her to have a rest now. But she is resisting.
So no rest for me either.

    No post today.
Its dull and rainy, but I have my washing out under my airer cover. Will bring it in in a bit, doubt it will have dryed though in this weather as its still quite cold. Least it will be fresh and free from bird droppings!

I think that SS dept starred in the original Jackanory.
It is twin1's right to have legal representation and also her right not to, it has no bearing on your rights to have legal representation for Special Guardianship. They can still proceed to court and if she hasn't given instructions will be unrepresented and the court will have the final say so in the absence of her formally filing her position statement. Even chocolate teapot is a title too grand for this lot of idiots.
Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.

    Thanks Gizmo.
I said the same to the head of their deparment on Monday.
My solicitor is waiting for the Legal Department/finance? department to agree that they will pay my court costs for this application before he will proceed. Dispite there having been some contact between them, I really do not think that things have gone anywhere at all.
 Idiots is probably a polite name for them aswell.

DGD had me up half the night. From 12.08am she has been coughing. Dosed her up with calpol, but from then on we have had hardly any sleep,
DS has decided that he is "feeling sick"again and gone back to bed! I give up. He will get throw out of college if he carries on.
I wonder what the reason for this one is. He is worrying me big time. He stays up till the small hours on the Xbox dispite telling him to go to sleep. He has huge black circles under his eyes. He is smoking too much and drinking too much. I really am worried. Nobody seems to be able to get through to him that he is damaging his body!

My parents are due to visit today. Molly is also hopefully well enough to pop by.

I was a bit naughty the other day and I ordered a new TV from the store with the big fat catalogue. I also put it on my credit card!.
    It should come today.
It is only a modest £150. For a HD ready tv, as we have Sky+hd anyway.
My credit card is a way for me to start to rebuild my credit rating since the bankruptcy. I clear the bill as soon as it arrives.
My next bill is not due until end of Feb for a 4th March Payment. So I am hoping that the cheque will arrive and I will pay it straight off. If it hasnt then I have enough in the pot to clear it, and will hopefully have my budget back undercontrol by then as well.

The card is a homebase one, that works only there and at Argos so I am limited to its use anyway. But buildng the credit rating is needed and this is one way that I can do that. I wouldnt want to use thier cards on any other terms with the apr being 29.9%apr!

We wait and see what the day will bring.
But lack of sleep is not going to add well to the mix!.

  • Capital One is another option for a credit card. An ex of mine who was also bankrupt managed to get one and put all grocery shopping etc on it and paid it off in full each month to build his credit. It also meant that his bank account looked cash rich throughout the month.

This is a very good idea and I think Mooloo is sensible enough to use a credit card wisely and not go over budget. It would also allow that slight flexibility whilst waiting for funds to arrive etc. As you say, interest rate is irrelevant when paying off in full each month :D

Mooloo, did you also know you can Buy Now pay in 3mths for goods over £95 on Argos/Homebase card?

Hi Chameleon, thanks for the vote of confidence about my ability to manage the finances!. I shall probably just stick with the Homebase card at the moment. Yes I realised the 3 month option. I think I did tick that for the TV.
I am considering that for the shed, as that will get the shed delivere and then hopefully I can get DS to help build it. However that is probably easier said then done!.

My Parents came to see me today. Mum liked my carpet insitue and Dad was here when the TV arrived so he helped me install it.

Molly managed to come for a visit. I hope you feel better soon Molly, you looked very tired.
DGD has been on the go all day, but is now fast asleep. Lets hope she sleeps better tonight.

I have my sewing machine in the front room now. (Well one of them), and I hope that I can get to sew something tomorrow if not later tonight. But I am quite tired so I may leave it.

Solicitor rang to tell me of his letter to chocolate teapot, and I had an email from the other solicitor, who is forwarding my emails to hire up.
Lets hope it will now get us moving.

E-mail them and tell them without proper support and access to legal advice you have no option but to refuse the option of SGuardian but are happy to continue as foster carer of DGD. Alternatively get your solicitor (but he seems a little flaky as well) to proceed to court. Have they submitted a SG report yet to the court?

After leaving a message for the solicitors practise manager. Who was to ring me back, but didnt, my solicitor seems to have stepped up and been intouch. He is to forward me the letter that he has sent to the SW.
I suppose I am worried about threatening them, incase they try to remove DGD from my care. After the LAC reviews when it was pointed out that they were not happy for me to foster DGD longterm (due to the instability, and the costs no doubt).
But I will find the reserve in me and start to rock the boat better.

DS has missed the bus, after I woke him at 6.15. He is now in the shower, (forced by me to go and get one), and I will have to drive him to college. Not impressed. Just having a cup of tea, then I am going to have to wake DGD to get dressed etc and into the car. I am really fuming. But at least he wants to go to college! The cost is coming out of his allowance though! maybe he wont go back to sleep then!.

Its not really totally my day. But have managed a small salvation in the middle of it.

I got my sewing machine out and was going to make some valentines hearts from my cath Kidston fabrics, I was really looking foreward to sewing again. Alas my machine has seized up!
So no sewing for me. But luckily the company that I bought it from will service it for me for £35 + vat. if I can get it to them. or its another £30 for collection/deliver.
But one of thier employees is playing football tonight at the leisure centre twin2's BF is working at, so he is going to collect the machine from there tonight for me! As I am going passed today to take DGD for her Health check, it was a silver lining in the clouds.

This evening I am now to go to collect Biggest of mooloo from her work. Bit of a drive in the oppositive direction. But heyho.!
She has just skyped me to tell me that the house they went after to rent is theirs. So she gets the keys in March. 2 months before the baby is due. Just about the right time.
