sorry your feeling low Mooloo ,I( empathise ..... i am finding it harder to accept my physical deterioration and i dont have a toddler to care for!! although i have started "reminding" my kids and OH that although i may "get on with it" I am in chronic pain most of the time and need more help sometimes.....but often too proud to ask ! I do feel for you because you just dont have the same support network and you need it . My new meds working better with less side effects than others ....acupan , although the last dose keeps me awake if i take it too late ....do your meds need a review , sounds like they aren't doing the trick

Hope SS meeting goes better , stay calm but be firm and you might get that funding yet

Take care , you have my email if you want to talk

    Shaz

My BF doesnt even understand that I am in chronic pain, all the time. As I just get on!
But I know what you mean.
I am to register at the doctors over the road this week, so I have to have a meeting/review there. It may be a good time for the meds to be reviewed. Different doctor etc. Also as they are just over the road, I am more likely to make an appointment to see someone when I am in pain etc as all I have to do is cross the road.

DS is home, and seems quite happy today.
He managed to go to College every day last week. Hope he keeps it up.

Molly is not too well again, so I hope I will be able to pop up and see her this week. She tends to come to me more. although it makes sense if she is popping to the doctors to pop in here.

Biggest of Mooloo has found a Mamas and papas baby pram/car seat combo this week, so she is happy. Her dad is to get her a cot, and her future father in law the other baby bedroom furniture. So with the family crib from his Mum, she is nearly all set up.
Not sure my Cath Kidston Changing mat is exactly the most expensive gift in the bunch. But I am looking forward to making some Baby clothes whent he machines surface. Or is it when i have the surface to put the machines on!

Fighting the blues as best as I can. Having a rest at BF's yesterday afternoon, and sharing the care of DGD till this afternoon helped me quite considerably.

Tomorrow when she is in Nursery I aim to get the Flylady back up on track!
Hopefully DS will put the spike for the Rotary airer in, and I can hang the washing out! thats a thought, wonder where the pegs are?

Time to relax now DGD is in bed and get an early night myself tonight.
Just missed the start to my Larkrise to Candleford.! Grrr

Its strange but everyone seems to be really down and depressed this January. Myself I can't be bothered with anything and even getting out of bed in the morning has been a struggle - I never feel like this and I love my job, since Friday I've felt a little more optimistic and had a happy weekend sorting through things in the house and baking etc. Youngest daughter (15) been ill since xmas and that is getting me down as well.

    Hopefully onwards and upwards now.

Mooloo - is the professionals meeting just about your funding (travel expenses) or something else?

Take Care and hope you feel brighter soon xx
Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.

Hope your feeling better soon Gizmo!

The Professionals meeting has been called mostly about the funding, but I think its the fact that the SW for DGD has not been very professional in his ways. He expects me to get Twin1 to the solicitors and get her to get a letter not objecting to the Guardianship. Where really that is not my place. He said he has tried to get intouch with her, but I have told him all her numbers and he has not rung her, or left a message on her answering machines. Nor has he written to her to inform her he is trying to get hold of her etc etc.
He hasnt sorted out my funding, and told me it had been sent to me. But his superior doesnt seem to know about it.

We will see what the outcome is eventually I suppose.

Having a day at home today. DGD has a bit of a cough and cold so not going to take her to Playgroup this morning.
Also I had a bit too much wine to drink last night and dare not drive this morning.!

Time for my shower now. DGD is watching her programmes and is actually being quiet at the moment. She has been nonstop chatter all weekend!
DD of BF, asked her if she ever shut up! on Saturday.;)

Hoping to get DS to pitch in and do some jobs this morning.

I have just managed to have a telephone conversation with the head of the department for our Social Worker. I am afraid I have told her what i think of Chocolate teapot! and I was so angry about my funding. She has assured me that she has now (on friday) authorised the payment! So it should be with me in a few days! Now where have I heard all this before.

I have also said that I will be complaining under the complaints proceedures as well!.

Right Now its Mums Taxi! not impressed. Also twin2 has run out of electric so she needs some money. So its an expensive day for me today!.

  • Well done Mooloo. Sounds like the left arm doesn't know what the right arm is doing where your SS are concerned. I just hope and pray that they are more effective in other cases where more help and guidance is needed.

Had a rough night with DGD. She was up from 2.30 till after 4.30 this morning. She woke to go to the loo, then wouldnt go back to sleep! She played, sang, banged on the metal of the bed. Drove me mad. Gave in and gave her some hot milk. Now she is still asleep!
Woke again at 6.15 to check DS was up for college. So have had a very disrupted night in deed.!
She is due to go to Nursery this morning. But not sure she is well enough? Cough/cold. or whether to take her down anyway. But what ever if we do we will be late!.
I am still in my dressinggown for a start.

Hoping for a better day today. Hoping to keep my spirits up, and to try and remain focused and positive.
Which is of course easier said then done!.

I found on my worst days with depression when DS was at nursery -carefully chosen PJs that look more like leisure wear than PJs (plain colours-no fluffy bunnies or prints)for me could get him to nursery in the car without me needing to get dressed first..........sometimes it's a matter of priorities

I may have to think about that!
I have decided to leave her asleep. Make a decision about the Nursery when she wakes up properly.
I am sure they will understand. I will call them in a bit. Wait until the rush of arrivals is over.

I wish I had the energy to move. Struggling to be honest. Easy words, the todo list. But difficult to get body into motion.!

Right, I WILL go and get dressed!.

that's a good tip about the pjs, and the other thing which helps me is to warm whatever I'm going to change into when it's cold / I'm stiff. so my pjs go in the bed when the electric blanket goes on, or wrapped round a hot water bottle / wheat bag. and in the morning vest / thermal long johns / socks / trousers / socks / shirt all go on radiators!

I agree a really good tip about the pjs. I have done that many times when working nights as a midwife. I used to get home from work absolutely dropping with tiredness but I had to drop off at school. I used to have a shower and change into my pjs, put my long coat over the top so that when I got home I could just sink into my bed and was asleep as my head hit the pillow!

I have a lot of jogger bottoms that are also very comfy and I often spend the day in them and it i have to go out it really doesnt matter!

Hope you have had a restful day and that DGD feels better soon xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
