Mooloo is it a coincidence you were able to say no or has some of that book resonated with you?

Really pleased you are feeling positive and have had a good weekend.

I am not sure if its some of that book, but I think probably is. Although I am not really liking the way the book is written, as its nearly all about Alcoholism and the affects there. However I can see passed some of it.
But I think that I was already ready to start the retreat within myself, and with the rise of my sewing ambitions.

Well done Mooloo. I suppose they may have to become more independent, that includes your son, if you aren't always on call for them.

Morning, once I have DGD to Nursery I am hoping to sew. I would like to get into a bit more of a routine with the sewing. I have realised that If I leave it till after other jobs its not getting done. So sewing first, housework second. (Which sounds good to me!).

Realised that the cheque I posted to the Bank has still not appeared in my account? I hope its not gone missing. I will have to ring up and see if its not there by tomorrow. No good ringing on a Monday. Its always far too busy.

Right time to get us dressed.

Well I forgot they were coming to turn the electric off, so when I got back from the Nursery I cut out my dress pattern instead. Then I made a tote bag for one of the Mums at the nursery. It was nearly time for the school run again, so I didnt do anymore but sew a few buttons on to wallets. I have actually received my Cow buttons. Nearly a month in them coming. So I will need to reorder early if I dont want to run out.
I have been printing off some patterns this evening, until the printer failed. It says that there is a pen failure, what ever that is. So I am sure it will cost me.
Sitting eating choccys and watching New tricks on the TV. Should be sewing really, but the fabric I wanted to use had a stain on it! So thats the washing on, and I couldnt make up my mind what ever to make next. I know the big jobs I need to do, but I was wanting to do a little different stuff then bags for a bit. Oh well. Back to the Bags tomorrow.
DS rang wanting his birth certificate as the Housing need it. He has never done anything about his missing passport it transpires, and I had forgotten about it. I will drop it off when I go to collect Twin1 tomorrow.

Yesterday was a busy day for me.
I took the bag to Nursery, and the Mum who wanted it, liked it. I also had my bags for the shop with me, and one of the mums has ordered 4 bags and 4 wallets from me, any design of my choice. Yipee.
Then I took the others to the shop. Alas the woman is rethinking her terms etc. I think that she may be having a bit of a cash flow. Anyway, we will see what happens. Most of what I took her is only old stuff I had made last year anyway. So we will see.
When I got back, I spent the day cutting out Purses and Handbags and the odd wallet. I think I have around 20 to make now.
Molly came over for a cuppa, and we had a visit from Phillspad too. Bringing another lovely cake for us.! So a mini MSE gathering.
After I had collected twin1 I went back up to the sewing room and continued cutting out those 20 odd bags etc. I didnt have an evening meal, DGD had had a "chippy" actually it was an arm bending for a MCd. But I wasnt very hungry so I just had some toast later.
Twin1 cooked herself a burger later.

Today I took the car to the garage for the indicator problem, only to be told that the information I had been given was incorrect, that they need to order the relay and that I have to go back next week now to get it done.! So a bit of a wasted journey, but I didnt have to have the car on the diagnostic machine expected, and so that saved me £55 at least.

Right now I am home, my cuppa and slice of cake demolished, so its time to get to the sewing machine and see how many of the bags etc that I can get processed today. Trying to do it as a bit of a mini run, like a factory. Some parts of each bag done before moving on to the next stage etc etc.
although most of the bags are done out of different fabrics, or a mix of the fabrics, they are mostly able to be sewn with the same thread, so thats good.

Off I go. Wish me luck. I really do mean for my Mooloo's business to get off of the ground properly and not just play at it.

It sounds like it is full steam ahead with Mooloo's business because the orders are coming in and you are getting the products requested made. Good luck, hope it is a productive day for you!

That's fantastic news about the bag orders! How about PE style bags for the nursery kids? If DGD has a cute one, I'm sure they'll all be wanting one soon enough. They're great for a change of clothes and hang nicely on their school peg without losing the contents. Cupcakes/cartoon characters/Disney/army/Ben10 etc all seem to go down really well with the kids. Some really bright coordinated cord and they'll be fab!

Yes there were some PE bags in the samples I had given to one of the mum's to take a look at. However it will depend on what fabrics I have, as to what i can make. I have decided that I must use what i have here, before I buy anythingelse. I also really want to keep to the recycle way of most of the stuff, and so I will need to source the characters from garments or bedding, unless there are any fabrics in the charity shops.
They are also very quick to make. I have some tape on order, although some people seem to dispatch things alot faster then others. It was only the day before yesterday that I ordered the little swivel key rings and some suede thong, and they already arrived in the post today. Yet my Cath Kidston from the 23rd is still no where to be seen.
When the tape comes I have several childrens aprons cut out, ready to make too.
I need to practise making things with Gussets, so that I can fulfill a long standing order too. I have been procrastinating far too long.
I have been putting in small zips in the purses today, and trying to perfect them. I am out of the habit of doing some things, or never actually made some others dispite all my years of sewing. (I used to do a zip in a pair of trousers in about 20 minutes. From start to finish.).

Well today I had to go to the garage first, but I started the sewing at about 11.30. Then stopped for a cuppa and a slice of toast at 2pm. Had to nip to nursery with the Photo order, and then when I came back I went back to the sewing, 3pm until 5pm.
I have sewn part of each of the 20 odd items, in a sort of assembly line.
Then I managed to actually finish 2 purses and 1 handbag, with another handbag, only about 20 mins off of being finished.
I have less opportunity to sew when the holidays arrive, so I want to get things rolling now while I can. Tomorrow I have extra help with DGD for a few hours, so will sew for about 3 hours then as well.
The roadworkers outside have finally filled in the holes in the garden path, and the one on the road outside of the house, so i can finally park the car again. Well I could but someone beat me to it earlier.
Just doing our tea. I am hungry as I havent eaten anything major since yesterday lunch time.

I will probably rest up this evening as I am very tired, and have pushed myself. I dont want to overdo it and cause any damage. My arm has had quite a bit, and is now on very limited movement, which is not unusual, and my face is having the pins and needles in it, from the eye to the jaw, which means that my head has been in the wrong position for a while.

Had help with DGD for 3 hours, and managed to make/finish 6 bags. That was my target and so I am very pleased. I am tired though. This afternoon DGD has been testing me abit. Probably my fault as I havent moved off of the chair much. Had the heat pad on my back, and then I have been doing surveys etc. All for those points/pennies.
Havent left the house today. So the car is still parked half way up the street. I am out of bread, and will have to either dig out the breadmaker, or get to the shop early tomorrow.
Although I am sure we can cope without bread if necessary.
I have been a bit, less MSE then I should have been and ordered £90 worth of food shopping to be delivered next week. But I am hoping that it will be enough meat to stretch for two months. As its a suggested menu plan for a family, for a month meat wise anyway.

p.s. My cheque from SS has finally hit my bank account. Took its time, I was getting worried. (Hence able to order the decent meat!). Have tried to be more Veggy, but I do like my meat. Also do like fresh fruit and veg though.
