I hope the Guardianship is completed soon, it has been going on for a very long time hasn't it. Once it's finalised everyone can relax and be able to plan.
Thinking about the posts about the co-dependency book, I came across this on another thread http://www.baggagereclaim.co.uk/ and thought it might be of interest, although it's not exactly the same as co-dep, it has some good pointers on how 'romantic' relationships can get a bit toxic at times.
My tip for the day: Don't put it down, put it away.....................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Afternoon, Molly and i went to a charity shop in one of the bigger villages near by. They sold things extremely cheaply. I was able to get 3 mens shirts (for bunting), and a velvet skirt, and a dress, for only £8!!!
Then we went into a Beads/crystal type shop. I mentioned that the lady from the shop in Brackley had suggested i visit. Anyway after talking to the proprietor, she too is interested in having some of my bags etc in her shop! So I have two outlets that will take some of my things. Although they will both be on a Sale or Return basis. (Not the most ideal system, but then it will be a start, as they could not afford to buy in such a variety of stocks if they had to invest up front, being small businesses etc.).
Right I am very tired for some reason. Time to take my tablets and have a bit of a sit down. Wish DGD would sleep a while, then I could too! Oh well, at least I do not have to do anything much today if I dont want to.
Errata, I will take a look at your link while I have my rest. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

I have been tweeking some of the sewing projects that I had here. All ready to go to the shops as soon as I can get them there really.
I am just waiting for the delivery of some special buttons, but they seem to be taking forever to come. Suppose cos they are coming from China there is obviously a delay.
My son has rung asking for some money today! Must admit thats the first time in over two months that he has asked. I said I would have to look at the bank account etc first and let him know tomorrow. Although I may give him £10 as the twins definitely have had a lot more than he has of late. Mind you I am also Saying NO much more often to them. So I will tell him that its not going to be a president.
Right DGD is up and down like a yoyo. Looks like I will be going up myself soon! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Twin 2 has rung to tell me that twin1 is ill, and at her house. So she has cancelled seeing DGD again!. I of course now have to pick up the peaces and explain to her that Mummy is ill again!!!!
I still have to go over to Towcester to water my parents plants and see DS.
Then I am hoping that I have the energy to do some gardening here. It desperately needs attention.
Still not heard anything back from the Housing. I think they still have a few days before they have to reply to me, in the right to reply bit.
Right time to check my post etc and get on.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well over the weekend I have mostly spent the time with Biggest of Mooloo and my two granddaughters.
Its been a lovely weekend, relaxing in the garden. Biggest cut the lawn for me, and then yesterday my BF came over, and he brought with him some paving slabs. He is taking up his path and replacing it with different one, so he brought them for me to make a patio outside the back door. Bless him, he started to level the area off, and got really stuck with some tree roots. He worked like a trojan to get that root out!. I felt quite helpless.
We have spread weedkiller at the front garden to attack the ground elder, and at the top to combat the nettles.
The garden still is coughing up bits of glass, metal, etc etc but so far no more razor blades or worse. Not that the glass isnt bad enough. The black sacks are still coming to the surface, and today I unearthed (with BF;s help in the end as I wasnt strong enough), a piece of old carpet that the grass was growing through.!
DGD has been playing in and out of the paddling pool, and is becoming brown as a berry. Even with factor 50 on.
Alas today my sciatica has started to play up, and has stopped me in my tracks. Luckily it was after a stroll around the Lakes here in Brackley. DGD was thrilled to do rolly pollies down the banks, and to feed the ducks.
All in all a very pleasant weekend. We barbequed too! Nearly forgot that. Well I did. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
p.s.
I actually said NO to the twins. I also said to both twin2 and DS, that thier arguements and disagreements, were NOT MY PROBLEM, when they both telephoned me to complain about the other!.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Sounds like a lovely and productive weekend with lots of free activity for DGD :T:j:Tp.s.

Well done Mooloo!!! I know it is hard to say no or to leave them to sort out their own issues so I will say it again - Well done Mooloo :T:j:T:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -

I must admit usually when they call me, I get very irate, and ill tempered, but yesterday, I took a deep breath, kept repeating the words its not my problem, and eventually they got the message.!
Then I shook myself and let the mood drift away. So that it didnt affect the rest of my day.
I also said that unless it was a life and death incident I didnt want to know.
DGD is getting really tired now, hopefully she will go up to bed without a hitch in a minute. Lots of sunshine, walking and water play. Brilliant.
I have also been updating my sewing, and changing a few things around, and some of them Biggest of Mooloo took photos off for me on Friday, and they are now on my blog. (Well some of them she took 51 photos, for my portfolio work).
I made another bag, usuing a mans tie as the handles, and an iron on transfer of an Art deco woman, and also used a fabric with daisys on the inside. Then I made another scented heart with pearls all around the edge and a small purse. So I am quite pleased with the work. But I am too tired to sew tonight. Late nights catching up on me, along with the sciatica, which drags me down. But I am not down at heart today. Feeling very positive and quite mellow and content. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Mooloo is it a coincidence you were able to say no or has some of that book resonated with you?
Really pleased you are feeling positive and have had a good weekend.0
