I'm pretty sure this is the book http://www.amazon.co.uk/Codependent-No-More-Controlling-Yourself/dp/0894864025
But do have a google on co-dependency first for free information on the problem.

re the disabled parking space outside your house. They're usually only done for free by councils for people who have a Blue Badge and high rate mobility allowance.

Ask your GP practice what's happened to your your Physio referral, and push hard for an quick one.

I have just ordered the book for us to peruse together Mooloo as we both share difficulties of a similar nature. You with the twins and me with DS1. Really sorry I couldnt get out to see you the past few days. Im now back in bed and running a temperature so hope that will get rid of the little bugs. Hugs xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Then we are going to have a couple of copies as I also put in an order! But I doubt it will go wasted. As you say we both have similar problems.

Re the mobility, I have been doing OK for a bit now, so doubt I would qualify.
Is the neighbour approachable......depends on the mood he is in. But at the moment, as he seems to be out of work, I am not sure I shall bother. Unless I get worse again.

Re physio, Ineed to go and see the doctors about my prescriptions so I will make an appointment. Have a few issues that are rearing thier ugly heads and adding to my daily problems. So they need to be cut off at the pass so to speak.

My car is booked in for its service next week. EEk £160 plus VAT, not counting any parts etc it may require. So that will be another huge hole in the savings. Infact my safety blanket will be completely gone.
The saying NO may actually be the fact that I have no choice what so ever!.
I am determind that DGD and I will get a holiday somehow this year and seeing my dwindling it all away has really annoyed myself!
But its my own fault. Am angry with myself. How come such a strong minded, woman such as I have managed to be so soft with the family and put myself at the bottom of the heap all over again?

I hope that book arrives soon!
    :D

I hope it helps both you and Molly, I'm sure you will both write a very good review of it on here, fingers crossed it gives you some coping skills that can move you forward.

    Watch this space!
Maybe I should have paid for a faster delivery?!

Its nearly time for DGD to go to Bed, and so can I.
Neck is protesting once more.

Whoever write that horoscope has been reading your diary :rotfl:

Grrr to pain, grrr to having to park away from the house and grrr to inconsiderate neighbours.

That sounds like an interesting book.

Re the reins thing Mooloo my dd when she was littler refused point blank to wear reins (just brought back memories of her parking her wee bum on the ground & refusing to budge) but as we live next to busy reins we had to do something, someone on here recommended a little life daysack, she didn't mind that at all & it was handy to pop a snack & juice in. Basically it's a little rucksack with a clip on strap (similar to a dog lead). You might even be able to rig something similar up yourself. Take care xx

Just remembered after I posted that I still have the strap part of the little rucksack I mentioned if it's any use to you just let me know & I'll pop it in the post to you. Here's a link to the strap so you know what I mean

If the neighbour is actually causing an obstruction / parking on the kerb, you could phone the police.

It maybe the local authority Civil Enforcement Officers who "police" this element....so another route to try is the council's Parking Service ;)

No he is not parking it illegally. I dont have a right to the space, its just that for the last 6 months he has always parked in his drive. Suddenly he is leaving it on the road. Its a commercial van, so its not even a pretty sight outside ofmy sittingroom window.! Oh well. he has seemed to have moved it this morning. Perhaps he will have a job today? Lets hope I can get it back in later after I have been to get DGD. Although by then it will be the doctors patients parking there. Nevermind, in the grand scheme of things, its not important really.

Re the reins. I will see if I have something similar around. I used to have a small backpack with reins for her, but it was plastic (One her Mum had got) and not really strong enough. Also as she is the size of a 5-6 year old. They were far too small. (Hence I also gave away her tomeetippee one this week). Thanks though. I may still take you up on it Violetta.
