Luckily realised I hadn't seen them in the "to keep" pile so went through bin bag full of stuff for shredding and managed to find them.
Will have to be a bit more careful in future.
Wow, that sounds like a scary moment!! Not as serious, but I once accidentally threw away the remote for my telly - luckily managed to get one of those universal ones to work with it.
Because I'm scared of doing this again, I often end up going through charity bags again before they leave the house - and pulling stuff out....oops...
I don't know how you do those fancy multi quotes but to elaine12022 on de-cluttering the spiders - eugh!:eek: You are brave - please can you come and do mine!! Although they are quite handy to have in summer for 'de-cluttering' the flies! :laugh:Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -

THANK YOU!!!
Well, today i have:
- Taken all of the cardboard boxes that were littering the yard to the recycling.
- Boxed up all of the jars that were sitting on the kitchen window ledge and put all the seeds that were in margarine containers into labelled envelopes and in the shed - now ALMOST have all clear surfaces in kitchen!
- Started putting things on ebay - until i got bored and came on MSE.....
- Sorted through all my books and have a pile to read and a pile to go to car boot/charity shop.
- Stocktake of food, cleaning prods, toiletries, etc, in order to use them up before buying more and done a 4week meal plan!!

Talking of remotes, OH has miraculously found the remote for the tele, which I hadn't seen for at least a year, (I thought I must have thrown it away in a mad moment) hadn't even seen it when clearing the living room - but tonight, he said 'I know where it is' and 2 mins later was back - it was with other stuff from the living room
Well, I only found one live spider, I don't have a problem with spiders (unless they're attached to my midriff :rotfl:), I see them as potential fly eaters which is great. I did declutter one dead one from the living room wall though, which has been there for a while! Now slugs & things like that give me the creeps..

Right - it's nearly quarter past midnight! Well I (and OH) found about 18 items to declutter today - will list them later. I attacked the lounge surfaces...tables, windowsills, dining table, cabinet.... Started on general toot on the floor but ran out of energy. It took a lot longer than 15 minutes but it looks a lot better. One thing decluttered from the windowsill - a little red tomato which has sat there for goodness knows how many months going red!!
Great to see everyone attacking their clutter.:j Every little helps.:TDeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Well left work late on Friday in the end, got home to find OH (who had had the day off) in a bad mood as the H*lifax had called and we can't remortgage like we'd hoped another kick in the teeth and I was feeling rubbish so I just flopped on the settee and did my sewing all evening, so quite constructive but no decluttering.
Today I was volunteering at a theatre this afternoon and then I've spent the evening blitzing our finances so not a lot done today either - must do better tomorrow.
In:
Food, shower gel for OH, magazine for OH
3 items of make up and 1 cosmetic for me, bought with boots points and all replacing things used up.
3 of my 5 ebay lots now have a bid, I have sold a book on Amazon too (first one for a couple of years) and have 6 things ready to list on ebay tomorrow so heading in the right direction.
Will get my 20 things out done in the morning!Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Sending you hugs Yorkielass:A The sad thing is that banks have really changed the boundaries around lending so even if nothing's changed with you, it has with them.
Take out your disappointment on finding those 20 things.

It's black bin collection tomorrow, so hoping to find another bag full of non-recyclables I can send on their way - shame to miss out on space in the bin, lol.0

Hi
Have been lurking for ages and finally decided to register!
Have been inspired by you all to have a huge clearout and think I probably manged more than 100 things in 10 days, so house is alot clearer, but my bedroom aka the dumping ground is filling up again eek!
Next decluttering tasks are:
Various boxes in my room & under the bed
Top of the fridge
The garden (too cold & wet at the mo)
Kids books
Those random electrical plugs and wires that just accumulate!
The garage
DD2 s room ready for her big girl bed!
In
New curtains and candles
Spare Birthday present
DD1 s birthday presents & cards
New ballet socks for DD1
Parents a bit later!
Out
Bag of rubbish
Bag to charity shop
Thanks for all the inspiration everyone!:)0
