I had to share a funny thing from the last week. The decluttering has been going so well that my wheelie bin was full - but I needed to put more in. (Closed bin policy round here). So out comes the kitchen chair, and into the bin I climb to trample it all down - just as the workmen fitting next door's new windows come out for their coffee break! Still, the bin went from full to 2/3 full, so I think that counts as a result.:rotfl:
It's now been emptied again, so the work continues - bring on the next hundred!

When I was getting dressed this morning, I was looking through my wardrobe and 'rejecting' stuff - and when I thought hard about it, it was because something just didn't feel 'right' when I wore it, or was uncomfortable. So over the next few weeks, I'm going to identify these things, and put them in the charity shop bag. I can't do it all in one go, for some reason, it only becomes clear to me when I am thinking 'I could wear that .... oh, no, not that because it's xxxxx'!! :rotfl: Sounds a bit mad, but then, that's me!
!
I know what you mean...I keep things I will never wear because they are "too good" to get rid of. As a result of decluttering I'm discovering lots of things I'd forgotten about and actually using. I found the duvet we were given as a wedding present that's been in the loft for about 8 years. I couldn't bear to get rid of it so I washed it and am now using it! (what a revolutionary idea!) Also found some funky tights I bought in the autumn and haven't had the nerve to wear - but I don't want to get rid of them so I've started wearing them (DD has her eye on them now!)

I think I might join in if I may, I desperately need to declutter, ny house is too full of stuff, I have a real emotional attachment to stuff if I have spent money on it, and have a great deal of trouble seperating feelings and memories from objects. Well, most of the kitchen is dejunked and I'm getting 3 cans of varnish of the premises; one has solidifed and 2 which were surplus to requirements were posted on Freecycle and are due to go to a new home this evening. That's better than them sitting in my shed until they are solid, too. Am going to hit Mr T's in time for their last hour of trading in hopes of little yellow tickets and will drop off my recycling in an on-street bank as I go. Getting there slowly......:rotfl:Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Took the CS stuff to the shop yesterday, and OH took the recycling to the NRC today. Today I sorted the drawer in my lounge unit, which was overflowing (found a load of paperwork which had fallen down the back too, lol!), it is now half empty having put a few bits in the next charity box, shredded a load of old letters (in future I will get rid as soon as I've answered them, and not 10 years or more later, lol), and put loads of other paperwork, that didn't need to be shredded, into recycling. I found 3 packs of envelopes, which I have now put in a box on top of the wardrobe, so they're out of the way.
I also found some recipe cards in the drawer, so they are now in the ring binder with my other loose recipes, at some point I want to go through them all and get rid of any that I won't use, but at least they are tidy and I know where they are, until I get around to doing so. I've got a pile of paperwork still to sort through, so I've put them in a pile on a dining chair and will maybe do some tonight while watching TV.Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

I wish we could put our shredded paper in the recycling...we also have 2 sacks to get rid of! Apparently its too small to go in the recycling machines, or something like that, but someone said to me people use it for animal bedding so im going to post mine of freecycle and see what happens!January grocery challenge- £338.09/£350

I wish I could remember to take the last 12 month's collection of cards to one of the recycling boxes
Tidied through my dressing table 'junk drawer' - it is now only half full & several unneeded items are in the charity shop bag. The true junk is in the bin or recycling bags.
One book added to the CS bag along with a Christmas gift.
A small pile of mags to take into work.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -

I started the dejunk last weekend but unfortunately it stopped on Sunday as I've been working 7 days solid since then. Hopefully should get some time to catch up over the next few days, so although I won't manage to do 100 in 10 calendar days, I'm determined not to stop.
