Wahoo - the big bag of scarves and ties for my music group have gone to someone else at last, and a basket that's been in the boot for weeks - I can now sit properly at my sewing table again. They've said they can take some stuff from the garage too so that's fab.
Otherwise things aren't as good around the house - it's really messy again - OH says that this means the estate agent is bound to ring with another viewing soon - sadly hasn't happened yet. Tomorrow night we should have time to be at home together and make some progres.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

It feels great! And what's made it even better is that it's stayed that way since Sunday/yesterdayI know that doesn't sound like a long time but with 2 kids who forget about keeping things tidy and end up dumping stuff all over we're doing great lol.
Not done a thing today though, apart from lay in bed and on the sofa due to feeling terrible, can't remember feeling this sick before. OH had to take the day off work to sort out the kids and look after me. My ironing mountain was going to be tackled today, along with the rest of the cupboard of doom but no such luck!Extra savings aim for 2020 £4,000 £0/£4,000

Today I had a day off to help with a fundraising event.
Went into Boots beforehand and swapped a moisturiser I didn't get on with but couldn't face parting with as it was a big pot for a B*nefit sample, and then after I'd finished helping took something else that was virtually empty and swapped for 3 Cl*nque samples. Is a really good way to get rid of unwanted skin care and get some samples to try & minis of stuff you already use. So size of stuff wise probably even & hopefully I'll actually use all this stuff.
I also rescued 5 books at the end of the sale so I bought home more stuff than I took out this morning, but once they're read I'll donate them to a charity shop so they won't stay forever.
So not too bad, and the stuff I donated last month sold really well at the sale today so I'm very pleased.
Just having a sort out through post etc. now, trying to keep on top of the paperwork.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Generally speaking Buffy - I give it 24 hours....then make a shortlist of the politest...generally picking whoever is most convenient for me...(can pick up when I'm in/quick to respond to emails etc).... call me tight but people who say "call me" and leave a mobile number don't generally get my vote - as it costs me to call them... so I'm giving something away AND incurring call charges - don't think so!
So yeah polite, responds to emails, can pick up conveniently and doesn't expect me to chase after them by phone....as sir alan would say "YOU'RE HIRED!"

Not managed much out apart from normal rubbish recently. Lots of INs though
66 chocolate oranges
and some boots glitches ready for christmas. Nearly done with the Christmas shopping now
.
Have to say that in recognition of my clutter issues, I don't tend to buy anyone anything lasting for gifts any more. I try to make sure that everyone gets something consumable so they know that at least the Christmas "stuff" will abate at some stage. Nothing mre depressing than looking around at piles and piles of rubbish on the 7th January and thinking "Where on earth am I going to keep all of this stuff?"
Washing is on at the moment so need to get it all finished and put away before I go to work tonight. I'm starting my 5 on and hope to pick up some extra shifts to pay for holiday. Fingers crossed
ETA: sorry you're feeling so ill cat. I hope you're better now. It's awful when you feel so ill that your other half has to take time off to look after the children. I've only had to do that a couple of times thankfully.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -

:eek::eek::eek: ... why so many? have I missed out on a deal?:D
I sold an mp3 player yesterday, posted it out today... so that's another thing gone. I need to start getting rid of electricals when I "upgrade" - otherwise I keep holding on to them as spares, they lose their value entirely, and I never end up needing them. I have a lot of older phones, cameras, etc that I need to sort out and sell.0 -

The choc oranges were on 3 for £5 plus bogof at Mr T's, wish I'd had time to go and get some before they stopped it as I always buy 1 each for my OH and DS for Christmas, bit of a tradition, lol!
I'm the same with old electricals, we had loads of old phones (with boxes and packaging) which were cluttering up the house, until I finally decided to sell them on ebay, my oldest one went for the most money surprisingly and the least we got was £1 for one of DS's old ones.
Today I posted DS's old ps2 including box, which sold for over £20, and another small ebay parcel, and took my dad's washing back to him. Not really done much else this week as I've not had much energy, but I have got another ebay parcel ready to send at the weekend, and hopefully the old tv will be gone soon.Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

Thank you for your get well messages. I'm a bit of a medical mystery at the moment. Terrible face/mouth ache like I want to wrench my teeth out, throbbing all night as soon as I put my head down and keeping me awake and feeling sick etc. Been to dentist last night - nothing wrong, no infections etc, been to docs this afternoon - not an ear infection, glands and mouth ok. Only suggestions I've had are a wisdom tooth trying to come through and maybe a thyroid problem, but can't have bloods done until 24th
Anyway, this has lead to a distint lack of decluttering/cleaning/ironing. But, on the upside, the tidying and cleaning I did at the weekend is still as it was - tidy porch, hall and windowsill yay!
DD1 has found a few things from the playroom she doesn't want anymore, DD2 has had first dibs and is keeping a couple of things but the rest can goDid manage 2 loads of washing today so the massive pile has now mainly gone. Will hopefully be feeling better by the weekend and can get back to it.

My kids folded up all of the washing, put theirs away and then put ours on our bed for me! So happy, they did it all whilst I was making tea and only had a little bit of help from me.
