Today I'm going to try and tidy my wardrobes. I need to organise my jewelry and shoes and get rid of all the clothes I've had for years but never worn! I see a lot of people put their clothes on eBay, is it actually worth it these days? It takes a long time to take pictures, set up the listings, packing them and send them out, then there's all the fees and charges. I was either going to freecycle them or give them to the charity shop!
I don't know where to start, the drawers are stuffed!0 -

That wardrobe looks pretty well organised and tidy to me:) Eb*y can be a faff - but once you have template its very quick - sell in bundles and sets - always does better.Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Eight bags of rubbish and 3 cardboard boxes all gone, plus one old hoover and a lamp that no longer worked.
Whilst I was up in the loft I ear marked a few things to go next week as well.

Not going very well in Callistoville at present. Nothing in, but nothing substantial out either, just a few bits of paperwork into recycling (including a leaflet from 2004!) and more papers into the pile for burning, for when we light the fire again.0

We sold our car boot job lot on ebay! OH is organising collection and then we'll have lots more room in the garage
I've also posted 7 ebay parcels today, so more stuff out.
Yesterday I gutted the porch, cleaned all the upvc and wondows (inside only), moved the shoe rack round to give us more space, moved the summer shoes to our wardrobes, binned a pair of very tatty pumps of DD1's, moved wellies and hardly used pushchair to garage and washed the floor. It's all neat and tidy in there now.
Then cleared our deep living room windowsill, cleaned the upvc and wondows, and now the only thing on there is a reed defuser and the telephone
Today I've done the hall - only small but with the coat hooks and basket of gloves and hats etc it needed a tidy and a good clean. All looking neat and tidy now. I've made a start on the cupboard under the stairs too, accessed in the dining room. Got everything off the 2 shelves, binned/recycled a few things, rehoused others, sorted the stationary and binned quite a few pens that don't work etc. Still a work in progress, but getting thereExtra savings aim for 2020 £4,000 £0/£4,000

Hi all,
I keep dipping in and out of this thread when the mood takes me... I never ever seem to reach the point where I can STOP worrying about the clutter. It just seems to reappear again?!
I took 7 ebay parcels to the Post Office today, but that's just a fraction of what needs to go!
I'm a sucker for freebies... they're part of the reason I have so much rubbish... am I the only one who can't avoid taking on other people's stuff?! And ordering freebies off the internet? :S0 -
DS2 is now decluttered to Uni along with various items I managed to persuade him to take with him. I know it will all be back at Xmas with him but in the meantime, it gives me a bit of sorting room.
We shifted a lot of stuff from the garage which has been waiting to go to the the tip for the best part of a year.
But other than that, it has been slow progress. There is just so much still to be done it is almost overwhelming. 15 years and 3 boys in one house has accumulated such a lot of clutter! Any advice on making a strategy to tackle it?0 -

That is really good! It must feel brilliant! I love that neat and tidy feeling in a room once you have had a good go at it!

Over the weekend I finally cleared the mahoosive pile of ironing, which has been gradually growing behind the dining table for a couple of weeks:eek:!
I have bids on only 3 items on ebay at the moment, but they do include a boxed ps2 and DS's old tv, which means our old tv (which he is having off us) will be gone from behind the armchair once the buyer collects his, hopefully that will happen at the weekend, and I'll have a huge space back. Also got watchers on a few other items, so hopefully I'll get some more bids before they end.Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs
