After posting yesterday, I decided to sort the last box of my dad's CS stuff, got it all cleaned and packed back in the box before going to work, and OH took all the boxes and the bag to the CS this morning. I went shopping this morning, and finally put the tatty carrier bags in the bag recycling at Mr T's. Just getting some bits listed on ebay at the moment, hope I sell more than the 1 item I sold last time, lol!Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

As it's a free listing weekend again on ebay OH and I are getting some serious listing done. So far I've re-listed the bits from last time that didn't sell, and I'm talking photos and writing descriptions up on Word now before doing the listings. We're sorting out the car boot stuff too and going to put some of it as car boot lots on ebay and save some of it for when we can fit in a few car boots ourselves. We've far too much to fit it all in the car in one go, and even when we do fill the car we end up not getting it all out so it really does need decreasing drastically!
I did say we were going to tackle the playroom this weekend, but it turns out the ex is ill so can't have the girls untilnext weekend and we needed to pop into town, which then lead to a trip to the park.... so no sorting out today, but there's always tomorrowExtra savings aim for 2020 £4,000 £0/£4,000
Original MF date Feb 2025. Currently Feb 2030:eek: Aiming for Jan 2025 :TMortgage at [STRIKE]10/19 - £47,200[/STRIKE] 11/19 - £46,615:heart:My girls keep me going0 -
We've just decluttered the spare room (it was so the BG engineer could get to the boiler
and also so the OH could have an office), and I'm now so inspired that I've also sorted the bedroom while the OH is away this weekend.
So far, I've got 6  boxes (we're talking huge fruit boxes) of books to go to the charity shop, another two bags for life full of books and a bag of shoes. In addition, there are two big Ikea blue bags full of clothes to also go. I've finally managed to get rid of the 20 year old fax machine as well :T
We live in a tiny 2 up, 2 down cottage, and one of the biggest issues we have is my books. The OH's company has just bought me a Kindle to say thank you for some work I did for them, so hopefully that'll help to reduce the clutter here - we still have a double layer of books on some shelves as I can't bear to get rid of them.
Hopefully, by Christmas we'll have a more organised house with a living room which is easier to clean and navigate - not that it'll ever be totally spotless; two marauding Border Collies with a love of mud will see to that

Yesterday I said OH and I would be listing on ebay this weekend to clear some clutter. Well, it went a step further than listing odds and sods - we've had a huge sort through of all our many boxes of car booting stuff and ended up with 8-10 boxes and a suitcase full of stuff which OH has listed as a collection only car boot lot. He said he got a watcher within 20 minutes of listing it so fingers crossed it sells
That would clear a massive space for us in the garage, and it would mean we have less stuff to carboot ourselves, although we have still got quite a few boxes though, about about 8-10 so plenty to keep us going
OH got down the halloween stuff from the loft and I've listed 3 surplus outfits BNWT when I bought some in the sales in bigger sizes and did the same thing the next year as I'd forgotten what I'd alread got so ended up with 4 dresses in the same size! Some of that is on ebay and the few bits I'll start at 99p I'll do during the week.
Also removed from loft are 2 large bags of DD1's age 4-5 clothes to sort through of DD2 now she's turned 4. Will wash and iron (oh joyous rapture, the ironing pile with quadruple!) then put away after having a sort through of her 3-4 stuff. Anything too small can then be either car booted, ebayed or charity shopped.
The living room is cluttered with piles of ebay and facebook selling page stuff grrrr, but like everyone else says, sometimes it has to get worse before it gets better. And it WILL get betterDef going to have a bit of a listing/selling week next week

I've just taken the last of my books from GM/Amazon to the charity shop. Most have been on for several years and I just needed the space back/don't want to move them if we do move.
Thanks Yorkielassguess I just gotta be brave and bite the bullet this week

7.
I am planting the plants after work tomorrow. I am SO pleased with my bit of the garden, the edging looks fantastic and it is one less thing in the shed!
I cleaned the kitchen and bathroom and had a general tidy up. I am feeling quite positive because I can see how the decluttering is helping.
And to everyone who thinks it gets worse before it gets better it SO does. But I am sort of seeing the light. Sort of. Very faintly.
night all
