Don't worry - he warmed up first by doing a bit of vacuuming ;)
    This made me LOL. :D

I have posted another 4 ebay items today.
31 items listed on ebay last night, as it was free listing.
1 other large item listed as "buy it now" - I'm praying for a quick sale on that one!

Cans, paper and excess cardboard have been recycled.
Cleared my bag & purse of receipts.

Tomorrow I will be tackling The Dust and changing my bed sheets :o:o

Cat04, I suffer from sinusitis and pain is felt depending on which sinus cavaties are affected, if it is the lower facial sinuses it feels just like toothache, the first time I had this I thought I needed a dentist. Might be worth trying a nasal spray, decongestant or inhaling steam. I find that a hot shower and breathing in the steam provided relief albeit temporary.

    Good Luck

Thanks for the advice Pollys, turns out I have Trieminal Neuralgia. Had a bad weekend, was either in bed, at the walk in centre, or on the sofa so naff all got done. Saw the doc and got some new pills today as the others were spacing me out and making me feel sick. Have to take the first one tonight as it'll knock me out! They're used to treat depression so not sure how it'll affect me..??

I was feeling a bit better today so had another at the ironing as I was rapidly running out of things to wear, as well as a lack of school uniform lol. Got 2 loads of washing out of the way that had built up over the weekend. Managed to recycle quite a few bits of papaer from the kitchen side and re-homed other bits to the correct place.

Still plenty to get on with but I'm taking it slowly with not feeling well.

  • I took a bed guard and a carrier bag of dd's clothes to the charity shop today.
The other week I took 5 bin bags there all stacked up and under the buggy.

This year I must have donated around 30 black bags worth of stuff minimum to charity and gave loads of stuff away on freecycle , and now I can actually walk round my bedroom - 'tis amazing how much better you feeel when the clutter has gone.
Gawd knows how many bags have gone in the bin.
I have been so ruthless ... not much room for sentiment these days.

Stuff does finally seem to be heading in the right direction.

    Out:
Bag of unused hairbands etc for my mum's school
All my used hairbands in the bin (short hair now and haven't been used for ages)
Big box of things relating to our music group and some extras all given to someone else who has space to store things.

I'm going to get myself sorted with a bit of ebaying tonight - I did so well at the end of last year/beginning of this then failed amazingly!

  • I am back on the decluttering wagon in a big way, I slacked off over the summer but am determined to clear out before Xmas. I have sold lots on eBay over the past couple of weeks and am really happy with how much money I have been getting for stuff, mainly kids clothes and shoes. Am moving onto the toys in November, hopefully will do well in the run up to Xmas, ds is all about football and xbox so star wars toys piled up in his cupboard might aswell be sold.

I have also joined a local selling page in facebook, great for getting rid of stuff locally for a few quid, cash in hand and no post office trips!

I have free cycled some toddler toys today

I have passed down a big bag of clothes and shoes to my niece.

I have a bag of toys & books ready to pass round to my nephew

    Decluttering feels great :)

Well the house is finally looking better! Have sorted all the kids toys out and donated/sold/stored away and can now see my bedroom floor! yay! Dh is home friday after 6 months working away, he's not very house proud but still I want the place to look nice for him (and for us). Am sticking to my cleaning/tidying routine and it's going ok. Sorted DD1's room properly and have sorted all her toys in her wardrobe so theres a place for everything now, just need to sort out dh's clothes when he's home he has way more than me!
There was a charity bag supposed to be going out today but it was never collected!
I think I have to except that having 2 small children there will be mess and toys and people aren't going to judge me as harshly as I think for that.
  • Hi :hello:. So glad that I found this thread. I did have a big de-junk/clutter a couple of months ago but I seem to be surround by it again. I cleared out so much last time, some went to charity, some to the tip and I still haven't listed the stuff on ebay that I put in to bags.

    Plan for tonight
    List ebay items-
get stuff ready for friend to pick up & store-

    To do list for tomorrow
    Declutter my bedroom -
    Desk draws in lounge-
    Find more stuff for ebay-

Not a big list at the moment but I'm sure that it will grow!

I thought I was doing well with the Great Declutter as lots of my stuff has gone via the usual green channels; eBay, amazon, boot sales, freecycle as I have to make space for everything baby-related!

However, I just opened a cupboard and a very old vase that seems to have been in my family forever leapt out and was smashed into thousands of pieces. I tried to save it with my bare foot which was painful and totally pointless.

I now have to tell my mum (it was hers) and think this is a massive wake up call to stop resting on my laurels. :(
    Overpay!

I forgot to mention in my last post that the boxes of car boot stuff we sold through ebay was collected on Saturday which has freed up a nice sized corner of the garage. OH has sold a few things on ebay that ended last night so they'll be out of the house shortly. I spent some time taking photos and put quite a few things on my local facebook selling page, a school bookbag and some kids books have been sold aleady, just waiting for collection :)
I used up another small bottle of bubble bath on Tuesday so that went in the recycle bin along with a few other bits and pieces. Both DDs are keen to get their playroom sorted out this half term so we'll all be mucking in with that next week and will hopefully be able to add quite a few things to the car boot/CS pile :)
