Bookcase has been turned on its back, castors added and is now under the bed to store handbags (top tip from the MIL!)
What a fab idea! For a second I thought I'd try that with my old bookcase that is just gathering dust until I decide where to put it, then realised it has no back....:o:rotfl::rotfl:GOD BLESS DURAN DURAN

Morning everyone,
Decluttered:
- an old t-shirt
- an old gym bag
- old lipstick
- 2 pressies for people (both were great freebies as part of a Body Shop in store deal)
- a bag for life (another one!) that I got as a freebie
Bought some skincare travel bits but used up lots recently so they all balance out - in relation to 5 items in and 5 items out.
It's all about keeping this stuff moving onwards and outwards!

Freegled 2 sets of fairy lights and 3 beach buckets with 2 spades. Waiting for tempremental printer to be collected. Have offered a spray deck for a kayak.
large bag of clothes books jigsaws and a bit of bric a brac to Oxf*m - all tagged for gift aid

I've done well today - decluttered OH on a photography trip, so took the chance of no audience to declutter on and under the table in the kitchen. Cleared out:
2 sterilizers (my youngest is now 4!)
1 slow cooker - decluttered to us in dodgy condition by friends, not wanted by us, so gone!
1 meat slicer - as above!
2 dozen glass jars - too big for jam, and not much good for anything else!
2 bags I'll never use again (dread to think why I'd put them in the kitchen!)
basket of misshapen cookie cutters
1 Easter Egg - the boys ate that!
2 black bags of general carp
several empty cardboard boxes
:j
Quite amazed that all that stuff actually fitted - bearing in mind it still looks full in that corner - but once I've attacked the cupboards I'll actually be able to put away only the things I want to keep. Unfortunately OH will be back later so I suppose I'll have to find somewhere to put him too:rotfl:0 -
I've been making a start, but a slow one. Out over the weekend were:
1 lamp (it wasn't expecting to be decluttered, but I discovered the hard way that ceramic lamps don't bounce on a tiled floor!)
1 old louvre blind
1 old roller blind
I have also cleared my washing and ironing (yay!) and shredded some paper waste. Still loads more to be done but its a start!0 -
I decluttered a few bits this weekend - 3 massive toy boxes on castors, three stacking boxes and a pair of willy earrings (to an ann summers rep!) sold on local facebook selling group, roll of high school musical wrapping paper and 9 magazine files (offered on freecycle but no takers so in recycling now), and a bag of clothes off to enviroclothes bank (97p worth, but he felt sorry for me and gave me a whole quid :rotfl:)
I also have 30-odd items listed on ebay, so hopefully a few of them will be goign in the next week or so.
In - apart from food and cleaning stuff etc...a book from my mam, 2 stocking fillers and a sky box bought for a fiver.GOD BLESS DURAN DURAN

I emptied and got rid of another box from the loft, it contained a load of old greeting cards and some old songbooks (which I used to collect when I was a teenager), most of which have now gone to recycling. Sent 3 ebay parcels yesterday, still waiting on payment for another item so that will have to go later in the week.
Also we finally fitted the cable tidy board on the back of our new tv stand today (couldn't fit it when we put the stand together as the shelf clips were faulty, and had to ask for replacements to be sent), and used some speaker wire from the shed, to connect the hifi up to the speakers after moving it to its new position.Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs
