    Woo, the big CRT (?? Is that what they're called?) TV and stand have now gone. Just before OH went up to read a story to the DDs he said someone was coming round to pick up the TV...5 minutes later seconds after I've finished dusting it there's a knock at the door and a young man on the doorstep saying he'd come to collect it. Must be the fastest/easiest freecycle transaction ever! Big space in the conservatory now where it was sat :)

    I'm in! Since having a baby I have acquired a lot more crap :rotfl:

    I've not done much decluttering as of yet (have got rid of a few bags of baby clothes) but I'm hoping to get stuck into it. There's 2 adults and a 5 week old living in a 3 bedroom house... all 3 bedrooms are full :eek:

    So far I've got rid of;

    - 3 carrier bags of baby clothes
    - 1 baby bouncer
    - 1 ripped to shreds cat tree

    In;

    - Baby bouncer (bought because the one above stopped vibrating)
    - Baby swing
    - New cat tree

    Ok I seem to just replacing crap with more crap :rotfl:

  • So how is everyone getting on? :)

    SORTED KITCHEN ALERT! Woo-hoo! Did an absolute blitz on the kitchen yesterday. I decided to change tack slightly (with some encouragement from a friend).
    :beer::beer::beer:
    TARGET: Find 10 things from the most cluttered areas today to charity / recycle/ bin
    ROOM: Concentrate on the bedroom for 15 minutes and pack my bag for next work trip soon.

    Hello to newbies :)

    Well I enlisted my friend's help and SORTED THE MASTER BEDROOM! Woo-hoo! Took a couple of hours but she wouldn't let me take anything out of the room to clutter up somewhere else. Did a lot of reorganising of the space such as bottom of the wardrobe and putting similar stuff together. So logical!

    Again the exercises of get rid of x number of things has really helped :)

    Found more than 10 things to go to charity (lots of OH clothes....shhhhh!).
    :) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage
    :cool2: Cherryprint: "More stuff = more stuff to tidy up!"
    Less things. Less stuff. More life.
    :heart: Fab thread: Long daily walks

    Oooh, can I join? Number 1 son is back at Uni so that has helped with the decluttering :wink:. Still lots to do though, so I shall be reading this thread for inspiration!

    ....thinking about it, packing off DS1 not only shifted all his stuff but I managed to offload:

    - 4 plastic food storage boxes
    - a wooden knife block
    - a pyrex dish
    - a wok

    so that was a result all round, lol.

    Another 1/2 Charity Bag went out yesterday and tidied through over the weekend but as usual by now it still looks like a bombs hit, another to add to 'when the boys have their own house I will...................' list - constantly make a mess round there;)

    Plan for tomorrow was to do a car boot but OH's car needs to go for MOT and I'm off so I'll drop it off and fingers crossed should be ok as its only done about 2k since last year.

    In:
    Pair of tights- that already have a hole in on the first wear- grrrr
    2 pr shorts in sale for DS1

    Out:
    Ebay Parcels
    CB

    Pending
    More Ebay parcels
    Bag of Videos for CS

    For those looking to sell books I always use green metropolis, really easy to use, I have only sold a few but mine are all girly fiction so I suppose it depends on what you sell.

    Just chucked out a full black bag of rubbish from the loft. Also put a couple of boxes of DH's old Army clothes etc to 1 side for him to sort through - I just can't see he needs them but if I touch them he'll go :mad:!

    Loads more to do up there and it looks like a bomb site but you have to make a mess for it to ever get better don't you.

    Also found an old sheepskin coat for CS and a huge carrier bag full of clothes for a baby up to toddler. Oh, and a genuine new Grobag which I never knew I had - so will put that onto ebay or somewhere.

    Yesterday I cleared out the under sink cupboard in the kitchen, I had 3 bottles of carpet shampoo, and 2 bottles of oven cleaner so I put the extras in the shed, binned 2 washing powder scoops, and put 2 manky cleaning cloths in textile recycling bag, didn't get rid of much but what is left is now stored tidily.

    We finally had the loft insulation done today, so have now put a lot of the stuff from the spare room back in the loft. It's mostly stuff we are storing for DS, so there were 12 bin bags and 1 box full of sci fi figures and models (which he is keeping in their packaging as an investment), a box of lego, and another bin bag with his sleeping bag in it. Also put back up there were 2 boxes of Christmas decorations, half a bin bag of baby bits (DS's 1st little outfits, and a few other bits I'm sentimental about), 2 spare dining chairs, and a bin bag with Christmas wrapping paper in.

    I cleared my ironing pile this morning, but I also did 3 loads of washing, so I now have another ironing pile, lol!

    I hate it when that happens, I feel really chuffed with myself for getting through it all and by the end of the day there's a load more to do!

    Not done too much the past couple of days (sorted a few crafting bits out and got rid of some tatty ribbon off cuts and paper bags yesterday), hopefully get a lot done tomorrow when DD2 is at pre-school all day :)
