Will be Eb*ying today - plan is to get at least 20 items on there. Also Last of kitchen cupboards and drawers are firmly in my sights now. Posted a list on my DFD of weekend to do's I just thought if its 'out here' I will have more of an urge to tackle it - my usual methods of writing a list on an old compliment slip thrown out by employers when they changed there logo 15 years ago (oh I am such a hoarder
) can so easily be 'lost'

Nothing apart from food.
Out:
Bag of shredded paer sat in the hall for a couple of weeks :eek:made it to the bin.
Metal frame work of old desk. Now in boot of car.
Pending.
PC base unit had both hard drives removed. Now. Might think about nipping it down to the car in a minute.
Cardboard from my new dining table. Need to keep for a few days as need to have whinge to the supplier about it. And not sure if I have to send it back yet or not.
Carrier bag of rags for the rag bag at the CS.

Aargh this site's addictive!
Bit of a slow week decluttering but got enough stuff collected together for another car boot but won't be able to go for another couple of weeks so it's just hanging around. Doesn't seem to matter how much stuff I get rid of the house is still full! Where did it all fit before! My aim is to get under the bed clear of all the plastic boxes, underbed storage bags etc and make room for what still needs to be kept in wardrobes etc but my OH says that I would be wasting valuable storage space but I think the room would look so much tidier without all that stuff in view.
Got people staying tonight so need to get a wriggle on and trail the airbeds out of the wardrobe. Moving...right...now!This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I have not had time to do any decluttering for a while since my current job is ending at the end of this month so any spare time is spent applying for work but this evening I have decided that I will have a break from application forms tomorrow.
Decluttering plans for tomorrow are as follows.
* Tidy up in the garden and fill up the garden waste bin from when we tidied up in the garden last time.
* Shred newspapers and then soak them so that we can make paper logs next weekend
* Make more paper logs from soaked paper and newspapers
* Iron
* Make breakfast muffins to use up various ingredients
* Sort out any mail received, i.e file, bin etc. so that the sideboard in the hallway will look tidy for a change
Good luck with all your decluttering this weekend. No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23

I'm going to declutter 10 items and drop them off. I've made a start:
1. A heavy/thick towel - my WM hates it, so it's washed and ready to go.
2. Magazine (recycled).
3. Used up a packet of hair dye (finally), packaging recycled, except for name/colour on lid.
4. Used up a perfume, packaging recycled.
5. Recycling from bedroom.
Enjoy the weather everyone
As well as getting rid of another 5 things, I need to get rid of 2 items of clothing as I've just bought 2 new items.
:TDeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Ok not much decluttering is going to happen today.
In:
Nothing yet:rotfl:
Out:
Metal parts of desk and PC base unit. Apart from heat sink as it fell out in the hall and did not pick it up, now in a skip at the tip.
Pending:
Two wooden curtain poles. Not sure if I am going to freecycle or off to the tip.
Think that is me done for a day.

as I'm sure I've said before, I've been decluttering for years (obviously not successfully!) but have spent this six weeks holidays seriously ebaying and amazon-ing as well as reorganising what I'm keeping.
My mam was here the other day and actually commented she could see a difference...praise indeed from the queen of minimalist show-house-like housekeeping, who normally just shoves as much of my crap as I can leave out into the nerest bin or cupboard whne she's here!GOD BLESS DURAN DURAN

Hello Declutterers,
The room and conservatory are being done. I have at points been in decluttering hell this week and strongly recommand you don't drag everything out of one room as frankly it is depressing.
I have found someone to take my old pet cages, which will clear out the shed a fair bit and there are some still lurking in the loft too so they can go. You would not believe how happy this prospect makes me!
Mum is going to Florida for six weeks and I intend to start to clear the loft. a daunting prospect to be honest. I think to begin with it will just be stuff to the tip. Then maybe bring a few things back into the house that we haven't seen for years and sort out the Christmas decorations. Hmmm. I m metally running through the boxes that involves.
think I might go and lay down!

Not achieved anything as I've caught a cold from OH, so energy levels have been zero the last couple of days. Only 'in' this week has been a postcard from the 'Staffordshire Hoard' exhibition I went to.
Will start decluttering again when feeling better. I'm just going to drag myself outside to take the recycling to the bin, then up the road to post a letter, after that I'm on strike for the rest of the day. I'm going to watch a feel good film to cheer myself up!0
