OMG!!! I am now in shock!!!

    How bizarre is that!!??

I looked at the one in RD and I'd already seen the one in Argos - just means I have to validate doing more things than just one at a time!! Hehe!

Time for a chill out and pizza me thinks...yummy! :)

    :rotfl:

I am going to do 15 minutes at a time and every 45 minutes I am going to force myself to take a break and drink water or something (eat chocolate!)

I am going to write my list now. trying to be logical and calm.

    xx

digital resources are now totally sorted :j I've done one back up and will do another before school starts with all the shiny new resources I plan on making this week.

Have now started the purge on old school paperwork. It feels like I've kept every single bit of paper since I started my teacher training, because, you know, it may come in useful one day  It feels SOOOO cathartic getting shot of stuff and slowly claiming back my office. There's too much for me to get totally sorted and cleared by the time we go back to school, but what is left is much more organised and manageable. Only problem now is that I'm running out of recycling bag

Trouble is, I read them all and have been crying off and on for an hour thinking of some of the people no longer with us, friendships that turned sour and (strangely enough cos I wouldn't have him back if he was studded with diamonds) my boyfriend/fiance/husband - reading cards from him over the 14 years we were together reminded me how happy we once were :o

Feel better that it wasn't just me bubbling at the weekend because I was going through old cards and letters! I decided to keep all my 21st cards but got rid of the rest unless they were particularly special. Thinking about it I didn't come across my 18th birthday cards - I don't think I would have thrown them out - must still be at Mam and Dad's house. Must check next time I'm there - could have another sniffle to myself!

I have loads of daft notes and letters that my mum and sister sent me when I was at uni and although they're not particularly heartfelt or special they make me chuckle so I'm not getting rid of them! Managed to fit them all into a cardboard box that fits nicely under the chest of drawers in the bedroom so happy with that.

Went to the inlaws for the weekend - it's heartbreaking. They got rid of their cleaner a while ago but say that clearing is boring and sad and told my OH to 'get a life' when he was talking about cleaning our shower screen the other day. This means the house, which was always fairly cluttered and in a not great state decoratively (some they've never done, some they've done and needs doing again, some they've started & not finished) is now dirty too - not great when you have a dust allergy...

Made me really glad to come back to our nice pretty clean and tidy house last night I can tell you!

A few ins and outs over the weekend.

    Out:
    Some photos to OHs parents.
The boot has 2 bags of textile recycling, 4 bags of shredding and a bit of cardboard to get rid of after work at the recycling bins
Bin went out today - wasn't very full but as we're trying to sell house again don't want stuff sitting around.

    In:
New sewing machine - kind of a planned purchase but not necessarily now, really good shop near in laws though and have someone in mind for my mum's old one I currently use. If she doesn't want it it'll go on freecycle probably.
We stopped at Ikea on way down and back and got the plant pots we needed to finish what we did last weekend, some fake flowers to finish my display, a picture frame for a print I've bought online and some extra shelving for the garage. 1 pot already in place and other 2 will be tonight, flowers in display and last night OH, despite long drive, put shelves up in garage and sorted his stuff in there so it looks a lot better now.

Also had a few new bits of clothes and a couple of new bits for the garden in the last week but nothing ruiness in terms of space or money.

Estate agent returning tomorrow for photos so final touching up tonight. Then office (which we aren't photographing ) is going to be blitzed as well as accounts etc on Friday when I have a day off (as long as I don't get too distracted by sewing machine...)

Everyone sounds like they made great progress over the weekend - keept it up.

Lounge is keeping reasonably ok. I need to attack that final corner of the room. Also Flylady today is the master bedroom so I'll do some decluttering there too. :)

There's been a lot going on lately, so I have lost my decluttering mojo somewhat! I have half a carrier bag of clothes/crockery to go to the charity shop, so will try and get the whole bag filled this week.

I have also recycled a few small boxes - mostly computer game boxes, snuck out to the recycling while OH wasn't looking! They were boxes for my games, but he thinks they are 'worth' more with all of their packaging, whereas I don't agree! We did once have an argument about this subject, so now I just get rid of stuff like this when he is not paying attention! :o

Also got rid of some out of date cough medicine and hot lemon sachets (bottle/box recycled), but then had to buy more in as OH has a cold, that I am trying desperately not to catch!

I also took my eye off the ball with regard to using up food, so have had to throw away some yoghurts and quite a lot of fruit and veg. I am very annoyed with myself as already skint! :(

I will try and join in with decluttering again with baby steps...

I have same problem with paper and digital resources - I thought it was only me:rotfl: I am dealing with it - slowly. Funny in work I dont have the problem - the opposite infact everything neatly ordered, boxed, colour coded- why cant I have order at home:(
