Not been decluttering per se but have cleaned and tidied the kitchen this afternoon and washed the floor (I needed the exercise). I have also spent a lot of time finishing off a skirt I'm making for DD. Still not finished but it is a long way towards being finished. I will continue this tomorrow and hopefully it will actually be done by tomorrow evening. That would be a lovely surprise for her and she'd be able to wear it on Thursday when they have (yet another) day off school. Once it's done, I am starting a quilt which I intend to give to DH for our 10th wedding anniversary on June 9th. I'd better get cracking with that because it's not far away and I haven't even started it yet!

And how's this for karma - dropped off loads of bits today to the charity shop - and I managed to get 3 tops (I never hardly ever get any clothes) and a L'Oreal mini shampoo set. Woo hoo for karma! Just need to make sure 3 items of clothing now leave this building. QUOTE]

I'm experiencing this CS Karma thing too. Since I've stopped saving my stuff to sell and just giving it all straight to CS I've been really lucky and found stuff that I had intended to buy new elsewhere: gym trousers (good brand exactly the right size), seat cushion (new - exact fit), the specific book my son wanted (but hadn't yet told me he wanted... spooky:eek:) & many more.... I've even started to be so confident that I've not picked things up if they are not exactly right - came across an exercise bench in the street (been toying with the idea of buying one for ages) - realised it was too big for the house. I've been giving thanks to the Universe / god of CS Karma when I find anything... With any luck I'll come across the Ipad 2 for a tenner before I go on holiday in a few weeks... :rotfl:.

Does anyone else find though, that the more you get rid of, the stuff that's left seems to multiply while you're not looking?

    Umm, like yes!

I am very proud of myself as have now tackled two of the under bed boxes full of things that needed ebaying as opposed to anything else.

    I managed to list ....... 35 auctions, hooray! :T

I have now had 18 ebay sales (I tend to use Buy It Now a lot) since the 25th April that has net me a whopping £139 - fees. Now if all the others sell? :D

It is an incredible feeling watching my clutter turning into cold hard cash.

My OH has also cleaned the rather mangy ensuite, which now smells lovely. I got two loads of washing done and dried. So a proud day LOL

My decluttering efforts today will mainly focus on getting housework done and stuff put away where it belongs. I'm just now trying to plod through the washing.
After this is done, I'll crack on with DD's skirt. The sooner it's done, the sooner it's not clutter!

Hello, not posted for a few days.I have slacked a bit inside but have been de-cluttering the garden items. My husband is a modern day steptoe!!! He collects and recycles metal as a part time job but its got out of hand .Yesterday i went outside and moved alot of items to the back of the garden and shed.I also bagged up loads to give to the binmen who are due tomorrow. Its now ok to sit in again. He built an outside shelter last year that ended up being used to store metal and other cr*p.Its now clear and i have a little place where i can sit and think. Its also got electric, so i plugged my radio in to listen to whilst i de-cluttered.Next week I am aiming to varnish the shelter and might even post some pics.Onwards and upwards :)

My to do list for today:-

Empty basket of ironing - done while watching Make Do and Mend
Washing - done (3 loads all out on the washing line, which means I'll have a full ironing basket again later:eek:)
Put dead flowers in garden waste bin - done and washed vases
Clear the junk off the spare bed - done
Wash the handrail on stairs and bannister - done
    Shredding - done
Sort some of the paperwork I have in a bag in our room - not done yet but may do some later

Not on list but still done:-

Sewed up a small hole in OH's t-shirt which I found while ironing it (instead of chucking it in the sewing to do bag, lol!)
Emptied the CD's out of my old storage cabinet, and put them all on the CD rack (which I got from freecycle a few months ago and has since been in the spare room), now it is in the lounge in the opposite corner from the other one, and looks very nice
Listed the CD cabinet and a VHS storage cabinet on freecycle

Not too bad, considering I didn't get started till late as OH wasn't starting work until 12 today, so I had a bit of a lie in and then didn't do much until after he'd gone to work, apart from the washing.

I think OH is worried I may go too far in my decluttering, before he went to work he said he has visions of coming home to find I've got rid of everything except the sofa and tv, lol, so he told me not to put the sofa and tv on freecycle while he's gone, lol!

Not posted for a while - been away visiting relly's for the last 2 weeks (DH has a VERY large family) but managed to get all the washing done today & most of all our stuff packed away. I've got to get my a*se in gear as we are away again for a week soon & a friend is coming to house sit & cat sit so I want everything to be squeaky for her. She's lost her two cats so she's really coming round to get her 'fix' as mine is so soppy & loves a cuddle (and the middle of the bed!)
I think I feel a list coming on......................!
