As promised, here are the pictures of the problem areas in the house - the spare room and the pantry - as of last weekend. We don't have a loft, so anything that needs to be stored has to go in here.

The spare room currently contains an exercise bike, stepper machine, weights, single guest bed, two chests of drawers, tall cupboard, writing bureau, clothes airer, stereo, damaged painting that OH doesn't want to get rid of (!), 2 seater sofa, boxes containing things to sell or still to be sorted and numerous other random things I don't quite know what to do with!

    http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/g362/willothewisp21/Pantry1.jpg

The pantry contains food, medicines, food blender/mixer, recycling box, garden hose (?), three boxes of OH's tools and the xmas tree! I've done a two week meal plan to start using up the food we have, will only need to buy fruit, veg, bread and milk this week. I get a little worried if my food stores run too low, but realistically we're not going to starve in the next couple of weeks!

Hopefully in the not too distant future I will be able to post photos of both spaces looking a lot better!

Totals for last week or so:

    In

    Bracelet
    Three books (car boot sale)
    Plant pots
    Three packets of herb seeds
    Six saucers (car boot sale)
    PC game (car boot sale)
Two toolboxes for OH (car boot sale)

I don't go to car boot sales regularly, otherwise I would own more books than I could ever hope to read as it seems criminal to leave good quality books behind for 50p or less! I went at the weekend as I was specifically looking for saucers as having a go at growing herbs on the kitchen windowsill. OH was looking for a toolbox, so we managed to get what we wanted.

    Out

Five tops and a sarong given to Mum
    Various cardboard boxes recycled
    PC game sold on Amazon
Box of weeds from rockery (made a start at last!)

    Pending Out

Trousers, skirt, gift set of mini body sprays, shorts, four tops, belt, two books, hat and mousemat into charity bag.

13 items of clothing to list on Ebay.

Now have two drawers free in the spare room! :)

Reporting in on my 200 things in 10 days challenge. Didn't really start until Tuesday as we were away for the weekend but so far I have decluttered:

55 items of clothing (charity shop)
1 pair of shoes (charity shop)
2 pairs jeans (fabric cupboard, to make bags)
    28 knitting patterns
1 carton apple juice that had been in fridge so long it had fermented into cider!
1 can squirty cream left over from Christmas
1 storage box - given to daughter
1 puzzle book - charity shop
    4 paperbacks - charity shop
    2 hardbacks - charity shop
1 squeaky toy - charity shop
Bag of approx 30 coat hangers - charity shop
3 baby toys - one given to my grandaughter, 2 for the charity shop
Tupperware animal toys - charity shop
Wooden toy box from the loft - given to youngest daughter
Learn to Crochet DVD, magazine etc. - charity shop
    Sony Walkman - charity shop
    Travel bag - charity shop
Gift bags from Christmas & birthday presents - given to daughter
Make your own cracker set - given to daughter
Wicker storage box - given to daughter
1 old battery toothbrush found in loft yellowed with age and minus a head - chucked into rubbish bin
2 glasses cases - charity shop

If I count all those separately it comes to 141 items already! They are all going to be taken to the charity shop tomorrow.

The house still doesn't look any less cluttered though.....

I did nothing at all yesterday, apart from sending my great-nephew's birthday card, and taking some used envelopes in to work. I was going to tackle the shed, and put a few bits I have in there on freecycle when I got home from work, but I got roped into helping at a polling station, so I didn't have time between getting home from work and going to the polling station. I will be listing some things on ebay as it's a free listing weekend, but I'm working tomorrow morning and out tomorrow night, so I don't know how much I will get put on. Hopefully OH will take the latest CS stuff to the shop tomorrow morning, and he will take the recycling to the recycling centre as he usually does on Saturdays.

I'd like to join The Great Declutter. Problem is little one isn't feeling too well so God knows when I will start the workload. Need to declutter the WHOLE house.
