Not managed any decluttering this weekend. In fact have had lots of ins instead. They will all aid a reduction of clutter though so I can live with that for the time being.
In: 7.5L paint for downstairs loo, utility and hopefully kitchen. I may need to buy more but If I need more I will get a tester pot of pink and add it to some white paint so I can have a very pale pink wall to go with my brownish and green walls.
2 remnants of Laura Ashley fabric. These will be used to make roman blinds for my downstairs toilet and utility as they've not had window coverings since we redid them 4 years ago.
A cantilever sewing box. This will clear all of the rubbish away from my bookshelves in the dining room. It is going to be so very pretty when I have repaired the hinges and painted it.
So target for this week is to pull my finger out and paint the loo. I will then get on and do the utility. Then move into the kitchen.
If I do manage to do this, I can hopefully persuade DH to install the skirting boards in the loo and utility.
I'm back to work on Thursday night though so better get on with it!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
Oh Dear- have totally lost my mojo - maybe I need my DD2 to hide her passport in my bedroom for another round of major hide and seek to sort out my bedroom.
Everyone is doing so well! It's great to read that so much de cluttering is going on - even if its not happening in my house at the moment - but there again I did de- clutter the piece of grass out back yesterday - shared yard with four other houses but the grass is outside mine but all use it - borrowed Dad's mower and declutted 3 sacks of grass for recycling:T but not before picking up neighbours dog poop from their end first- 16 big piles of it- but I left the bag near their end for them to get rid of;) - thats one thing I refuse to completely de- clutter!

I've been looking at my bookshelves and realising that much as I love them, there are large numbers of books that will be never read again - or I could get them from the library if I really wanted to. I love biography and non - fiction so some will stay as they are reference for work-related things. Now to strengthen my resolve to say goodbye to old friends.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0

Another few days' decluttering has unearthed:
1 inflatable pillow
1 empty Roses chocolate tin
Travel wallet
Aries keyring
Luggage tag
Sparkly wool
Disc cleaning set
1 old floppy disc (!)
Travel toothbrush case and soap dish
Old broken watch
Old passport (expired in 2001)
Old batteries
2 old mobile phones and chargers
Lidless baby bottle
Loads of craft stuff
2 more dead batteries
Old Sony Walkman
1 glass jug
Another portable cassette player
Jigsaw - back to mum and dad
Some fabric - 4 Morsbags made to give away in June
Gradually getting there, although the place is still messy - I think it's because neither of us ever puts anything away after us! Still, got till the end of the year to achieve minimalism - we'd like to move next year and I couldn't face sorting and packing it all in one go!Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

the rain this morning/last night scuppered my plans to do a car boot, however:
1) sold a bag of baby clothes for £15, these were cluttering up my bedroom
2) sold a bag of books that had been cluttering up my living room
3) sold a pile of twilight books, they are off the chest of drawers.
I have a friend buying a huge wooden bookcase that I dearly love but have no room for, more pennies for the pot.0 -
