Well, I've got rid of 6 carrier bags of toot, hoovered and vaxed the lounge and dining room carpets. I still haven't put away the washing yet
I've got the cushions in the washer now and have more to do in a minute when I get off my bum and go and swap the loads over!
Downstairs looks far far better. The kitchen is clean and tidy. I'll clean the downstairs loo later or tomorrow. In
Bottle of champers, mug, scented candle and DVD (birthday presents from last week)
Birthday money (will shortly be changed into walking boots and underwear when I feel like braving the huge shopping centre!)
Two books for OH
Two books for me
Out
One A4 folder of old college work recycled
Nail varnish to sister
I'm feeling better now, so next on the list is to make space in the wardrobe for the hanging storage. Have also decided to 'run down' the pantry/freezer contents as I'm skint and there is a ridiculous amount of food (and other junk) in there! So, will be making a meal plan to use up what we have and just supplementing with fresh stuff and meat as necessary.
I will also take some pictures of my worst cluttered areas and post them up on here this week - hopefully this will shame me to sort them out!0 -
I have had the most amazing clutter busting weekend ever
We have done loads of cleaning and all the jobs you spend all your time avoiding.
Today has been just a few bits:
High chair sold on Ebay collected
Other items sold on ebay packed to go tommorrow
and a charity shop bag filled with one winter coat and most likely a few more bits by tomorrow x0 -
I have receipts dating back to the 90's, lol, I still have my very first utility bills from 1984, and I only got rid of my BT service agreement and bills a couple of weeks ago, we've been with Virgin for at least 10 years !
LOL hun, you have just made me feel so much better :ABottle of champers, mug, scented candle and DVD (birthday presents from last week)

Oooooh lucky you and happy birthday!

Glad to have been of service, lol!
Today I intend to:-
clear and clean the small worktop in my kitchen where the tv is
deal with paperwork on the hall table
do some shredding
do the pile of ironing on the armchair (and possibly some from the basket in our bedroom)
clean the drawer in the washing machine(soaking in soapy water at the moment)
photograph the rest of DS's ebay stuff and get it neatly stored in a box
wash the bath (soaking at the moment)
I'm hoping to get rid of a bit more stuff as well, I'll be back later to let you know how I did.Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

I've been out today and bought the ingredients for laundry gloop. We are getting towards the end of our current liquid so I will need to make some up soon. I'm quite looking forward to trying this because if it works, it will be a slightly less chemical and slightly greener way to get our clothes clean.
I still haven't put away the washing and have a line full which needs to go away tooI'd better get off my behind and do it in a minute. I still need to throw the hoover around the downstairs and declutter the cushions and the sofa seat covers back off the dining room table and onto the sofas. Need to put the covers back on all the cushions first.
At some stage, I might even manage to get rid of the vase of dead flowers which are sitting on my fireplace from Mothers dayDebt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
I can beat that, I sorted through a folder containing some old recipes cut from magazines last week, (got rid of a lot of them as never been used) and found some coupons for money off baby wipes, they didn't have a date on them but my 'baby' will be 30 in July, lol!
OMG and I thought I was a hoarder. Mind you last time I did some tidying up in my parents attic of my stuff I found £50 in old tenners. I was like that when I was youger. Use to take money out and hide it for later then forget :rotfl:Unfortunately he had 5 bags of DVDs, CDs and games to bring back here for me to put on ebay for him:eek:!
I have not used them yet. But why not check out music magpie. Prices are not great. But saves the hassle of ebay and get rid of them of them.
I am in the process of listing them. Stuff I bought for £1 they will give me 30p and no postage costs. There is a thread on the forums somewhere about it. Anything that gave me a better price of over a £1 I have put up on Amazon.

As I mentioned in my house is mess thread.
I have unexpectedly got this week off work. And been told to do what I want to do with it:j
So I am doing no de-cluttering or tidying if I can help it.
So I will be MIA until next Tuesday I reckon on this thread.
So everyone have a fab week and weekend and take care.

Hi all. I have set myself a goal of removing as much cr** as possible from the house before the kids are on holiday again at the beginning of June (4 weeks). I have got to be ruthless somehow, we have way too much stuff.
So this morning I have got rid of 5 bin bags of clothes and some bedding to the British Heart Foundation. I have also thrown out 3 bottles of home made wine from the back of a cupboard that is at least 6 years old - one bottle had black bits floating in it - yuk. This is the sort of thing I am bad at. I sorted out that cupboard a few weeks ago but put the wine back because late father in law made it and I felt bad throwing it out. This is why my house is so cluttered!!
This cupboard also holds a box of vitamin drinks that my son was given by the hospital last year and hasnt used. I think they are all out of date anyway. I guess I should empty them down the sink and recycle the bottles. The plan is to make space in this cupboard for other stuff currently cluttering up the utility room.
Ah well, sitting here is achieving nothing so best get on!!!0
