    Hello all

I've also been a bit busy the last month or so (mainly with migraines :() but after 4 days of no work feel like it is time to tackle some more clutter!

My main focus is the upstairs back room - I have my mum coming to stay in 2 weeks, and 16 large boxes in the way ! It is a new room, we built it as part of our loft extension. It is meant for storage and a craft room, we have built 2 massive wardrobes to take everything, but not everything fits in them! So plan is:
    * go through wardrobes and see what can go
    * buy boxes and probably some more shelves for wardrobes so can use space more effectively
    * repack duvets so fit better/take up less room
    * pick up OH's harddrive so he can start burning cd's onto it
    * bring all ebay stuff together
    * photograph and list ebay stuff
    * check amazon books, and relist
    * have labelled boxes for amazon and ebay stuff
    * box and label baby toys, clean any that need it
    * shrink store baby clothes

I'm sure there's another way to tackle it... once I get stuck in I'll probably get a better idea and will probably add to this list!

I also need to get DD to tackle the last remaining junky boxes in her room...

Well I have put the spare matteress, the fireside companion and the fire guard on our local freegle site, see if they will shift.
Now its catch up on the housework I didnt do yesterday, or this morning as I was out.
My loft ladder has arrived, so a job for the BF to do when he next comes to visit.!
More fabric arrived in the post that I bought off of Ebay, and still some more due! Oops.
Definitely need my business plans to get going.

Edit. the fireguard and companionset have gone already.

So close to 11 days off work now and I can't wait. Sadly it's all the wrong way round and I've got the inlaws coming tomorrow so it's going to be a quick clean and shove job in a few places to make space for them all to sit and sleep (nothing is too bad but things like my camping stuff and the beanbag often live on the single bed when no one is using it and SIL will be.

Then they go Monday afternoon and apart from OH doing something Tuesday night and me Thursday we have nowhere we need to be until Sunday so need to mix house tidying, pottering at home and having some trips out I think.

Will need to come up with an action plan for what I want to do, I think I'm at the stage where there is a bit of decluttering to do but mainly it's finding proper homes for things now and sorting a few storage systems.

Went up in the loft to bring down the fan (which normally heralds a change for the worse in the weather). While up there I had a mini - declutter - a fair bit of stuff gone / to go but its the tip of the ice-berg because of the sheer amount up there so not very satisfying. Think I will have to do it in bite sized chunks. So -

    IN

replacement seat cushion for arm chair - CS

    OUT

    Bin-
    Broken lamp -
    broken filing tray
2 X remote control that no longer have anything to control
    CS
    3 X Book
    mirror
    Several Hama bead shapes
    photobox
    pictionary
    pop up laundry basket
    7 X Xmas Decs
    4 X Mother's Day Cards
    TV ariel
    pe bag
    2 X jewellry boxes
    necklace
    music box
    light
    box of bits & bobs
    Music Magpie
    12 DVDs/CDs
    To give to friends
    Bracelet

This weekend my main goal is to paint the understairs cupboard.

Big year ahead and needs a lot of work on decluttering. I have just read a book named "Declutterfast" and is very motivated. I hope this year my house will get clutter free with lots of selling and re-homing..:j

Todays aim is to do some decluttering in the Garden. As the SS never did organise the big clear up. Last night I was walking to the clothes line and saw a glint in the grass( if you can call it that), it was broken glass! Eek it was just a foot away from where DGD and I had been barefoot in and around the Paddling Pool. thank god I had a tarpauline beneath that!. So today I am aiming to have a go at clearing the area, as I bet there will be more. I found a large amount just under the surface of the grass. It was quite scarey.
Then if I cannot be outside it decluttering the front room, moving my sewing up the stairs, and aiming to get the boxes empty once and for all!

It's a thing that you fix in your roof to get more light into rooms...

If anybody wants me over the weekend, I'm sorting out stuff for a stall at a local vintage fair on 30th April and decluttering the contents of the freezer with a view to defrosting. And I think there's a box of choccies on the horizon as well, they really need to go:D

My beady eye spotted the word "Vintage": have you got any more information please?

    xx

    Morning all

What a great feeling to have 4 days off in front off me. I am planning to go through my chester drawer this weekend, particularly the top drawer is a mess.

My OH sorted out the shed last weekend. I still got some more paperwork to sort out. Washing the summer duvet this morning and also the ironing.

Good luck to you all with your de-cluttering and have a lovely Easter.
