Well done everyone, some great decluttering going on
Yesterday our housemate told us that he's moving in with a mutual friend so we'll be moving a bit sooner than thought, this means I don't have as much time to have a good clearout and declutter than originally thought  I can't wait to get back and make a start as I've been at my mam's house since before Christmas thinking about the piles of mess that await me. I've been told that I have to have next week off work so I should be able to do a lot then, will make sure to keep you all updated of my progress!D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't importantTaste The Rainbow :heartsmil0 -
had a really busy day, took all the decorations down, sorted them and got some nice new storage boxes so that they can be put up the attic a bit easier. then had a clear out of all the old bags i used to keep them in, got rid of 5 empty choccy boxes (diet can start at later date!) got rid of old wine rack that was broken and very shakey and transferred wine to new rack. plus cleaned washed and ironed - will be easier day in work tomorrow!trying hard to be debt free by the end of 20100

Sorted another 2 bags of clothes and dumped all my masters notes in a box for recycling . found my hubbys fountain pen which hes happy about , but spread the rest of the stuff over the floor in the bedroom. Tommorrow is phase 3. Put moses basket back together and do stand, sort through mess on floor and box up videos to go to CS . Put 3 bags of clothes out for CS to collect . Go and get storage boxes for DS toys and visit an old freind with cakes in the afternoon. Another productive afternoon , just want this bedroom sorted now. Then I can do our wardrobe , ds wardrobe and get started on the kitchen.ONE HOUSE , DS+ DD Missymoo Living a day at a time and getting through this mess you have created. One day life will have no choice but to be nice to me :rotfl:0

Out
2. Paperwork to accountant (phew)
3. crib back to its original owner as now outgrown
In
Nothing (hooray) but only because we were late getting to the shop
Put away
Christmas tree and decorations (by hubby before I got up - lovely surprise)
Christmas cards cut up and ready to be scrapbooked
Books shelved
House still looks a mess though - had big plans for decluttering that we didn't do. Still, have a whole year to do it in now.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
I went through DD's toyboxes with her today and we have thrown out 3 black bags worth of bits and pieces. :j0

Today I took down the Christmas decorations, and before OH put the boxes in the loft I sorted out a few decs that I've not used for years and put them in the charity bag, and some old cards from previous years to go to recycling/be used for gift tags next year. I used to keep all my old Christmas and birthday cards, but now I just keep the current ones from family and close friends, and throw them out the following year when I get that years cards, but I've probably got loads in the loft that I will have to get rid of when we get around to sorting the loft out !
Tomorrow I'm working in the morning, (first shift since Christmas eve), but when I get home I have promised myself that I will sort out the huge bag of paperwork in our bedroom, and file what needs filing and put the rest into recycling. Wednesday is my day off, and I'm hoping to tackle the 'cupboard of doom' in our bedroom. I sorted it last year, but it is yet again full of crap (floor to ceiling and back to front, lol!) so needs to be done again, and Thursday afternoon I may sort the 'drawer of doom' in the lounge room unit which is also overflowing with crap again!Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

Hello all,
I'm in for the big de-clutter of 2011.
I won't do the 100 things challenge, cause I know I would then stop after the 100....
I will go for the one room at a time...
There is one big hurdle at the moment though............
Actually whilst typing that sentence I realised I am already making excuses for not doing anything
Let's just say I will do my very best... feel free to chase me on progress!!!:o:o
Much impressed by everyones progress.
Today I have:
cleared out the fridge and freezer of out of dates and unwanted
cleared kitchen shelves and reorganised them
It will have to do for 1 day.
Just to make sure I know what I need to do, I will list some of the things that need doing:
- sort throught the kitchen stuff when putting in my new kitchen (long story)
- tidy and clear out wardrobes (and thus whole bedroom)
- understairs dumping ground
- Ds's bedroom (16 yrs old, so that might be a bit of a battle)
I think after all that it might be July....
Anyway,
courage to all!!0
