I'm a total disgrace, since last posting on this thread I've done nearly nothing. I've topped up my bin every week with rubbish from the spare room so that's getting better very slowly and I've also ebayed some stuff, got the last few things from last week to post out this morning. I also listed a pile of craft books on Amazon, i have the bookshelf space for them so if they're slow selling it's not a problem. I'll get some clothes on ebay this weekend and I will try to try to load up the car for a tip run but I've just been so busy lately that I've not found the time.
Everybody else... great work, it just too bad that I prefer reading about you all tidying up to actually doing it myselfWhatever0 -
One big out yesterday as the Guides took their Mothers' Day pressies and cards home, which had been at my house since the materials arrived and then came home last week as nowhere to store in the hall we meet in. Tidied up the leftovers ready to put in my box for next time.
Out one dress back to Boden today, totally didn't fit despite one the same size in a different style and material fitting perfectly - just going to ask for a refund as I don't know what size will help.
2 ebay sales to post and a couple of cheques to pay in (one me, one Guides) at lunchtime.
Mothers' Day cards posted
Then just general rubbish recycling.
In
This week only post, most of which has been recycled.
Targets for the weekend:
1. Find and list 10 things on ebay
2. Empty all the bins and recycling bins in the house into the bins/ recycling boxes outside/in the garage.
3. Iron and put away clean clothes
4. Get washing up to date.
5. I currently have piles of stuff on each end of the sofa and a pile on the living room floor - these need to go - I never quite manage it and then they get bigger so my job for tonight as well as a bath is this.
6. Have a small pile of charity shop things - will bag them up ready for when I next go into town.
Will report back with my progress - happy decluttering this weekend everyone.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Hello, I've been lurking but thought its time to say hello. I've been tidying out our cellar recently. We've lived here for 18 years and been stashing stuff in there all that time. Getting rid of stuff feels like lifting a weight off me (actually I do need to lose some weight off me too):).
Just wanted to make sure you all know its free listing on ebay this weekend.
All the best, Kim0 -
I have binned a game with bits missing from it.
I am just about to list 3 items on ebay.
I have done some gardening and have thrown away a few dead plants and lots of cuttings.

Hello you busy bees! I've been awol but been decluttering like a demon - yesterday I got rid of 4 bags, a crate and various boxed things to cs, 5 black bags out for the dustcart and 2 under-bed crates and some bits, to my sis.I'm taking a couple of days off the decluttering as my DS and his partner had a baby boy this morning but I'll be back to it next week, I already have my sights on a big pile of stuff in the corner of the craft room
WonderfulLife, you've made amazing progress! :TMsHalffull wrote: »I dutifully left bag of CS stuff + 3 boxes full of bric-a-brac outside for collection this morning & they just took the bag ??? ...
I've an agreement with a local CS that they collect anything I have for them (I dont have transport and the buses are useless!); I wait till I have a reasonable amount and arrange for them to collect when their delivery van is passing close by.I'm always amazed how people can spend so much time ironing. ...
I gave my all-singing all-dancing iron to DS; now I just have a tesco value steam iron but I only use for pressing seams when I'm on a sewing project... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

Hi
New to the forum, I thought new month new start. Would it be possible to join in with the challenge.
I have started to make progress, as I find it very embarrassing that I put my bin bags out late at night into the communal bin, so no-one is aware of how much clutter I have in the house.
I would also like to be able to say to friends, please come over without needing a few days notice and keeping one door closed all the time, lol.
Thanks0 -
Thanks pudsey DB I haven't listed yet but just taken photos so I will list tomorrow.0
