So glad it is the weekend again. I made a great start last Saturday but have not managed to do anything this week due to working in London. I am going to get started right now on the last bits in the bedroom. Need to decide on some new furniture over the weekend but can't decide what I need until I have put what I can in its place and see what's left over (if that makes sense??!!).

    Evening all,

Good to see everyone has been keeping busy. I've done nothing for days! I have been tidying up after myself as much as possible which helps. The whole dont put it down put it away thing.

So how about a teeny weeny mini weekend challenge - something nice and achievable, still getting stuff outta the house and enjoying the nice weather too.

Who is up for getting rid of just 10 things this weekend? :)
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Right this did me a world of good last time, and buoyed on by recent ebay sales I'm up for 10 things this weekend. In fact I'm aiming for 10 a day throughout April.
    Tired of 'stuff'.
So posted 11 ebay items yesterday, got 12 ready to go today.
    Here we go..

    I have a question...

Has anyone here actually managed to reach a point where they've got rid of all of their clutter???

Because for me it seems to be an endless battle!

Woohoo! We dropped off loads of bits today - I had to pop back later and it felt good to some of the bits already up for sale :A

Hi CL - I guess it depends on what you view as clutter. My house got in a bad way due to lots of illness - so it's been nice to try and enjoy it as a home again. It's all about (for me) making sure that stuff doesn't take over in the same way again. With rooms stuffed almost floor to ceiling with "things" it's harder to keep the house tidy, stuff gets ruined inevitably when it's lodged somewhere.

  • Lots of replacing this week - new cooker so had to clean ALL of the kitchen floor so it could be wired in, plus old one taken away. New mattresses all round, so 3 singles + 1 king IN, 4 singles + 1 king OUT. We had a spare single for guests, but now have camping beds we can use instead! Also all the packaging from the mattresses - lots of cardboard and plastic - and our old baby car seat. Bedding which was stored under the mattresses has been edited, and will be going to CS on Monday - we now have one change each, plus an extra set for the 3 and 5 year old in case of accidents.
Now, what can I do with my Sunday...? Oh I know, more decluttering!:rotfl:

Ive just planted all the potatoes I had sitting on the windowsill 'chitting' - there were 10 so does that count - lol
I'd also decluttered a wardrobe a few weeks ago and had an empty plastic bin with a lid waiting for me to do something with - I've just found out that our little Dirt Devil fits inside beautifully instead of the cr*ppy cardboard box its had for the last **years.
Hoping to do some eBaying too this weekend - Good Luck everyone with your challenges

Dropped off a game we never played, a jigsaw that was never done and six HB and PB books at the CS and found myself asking if they would take a 1985 15th Edition Encyclopaedia Britannica. Yes, I could have E-bayed it, it cost a LOT of money, but a lot of the info is now obsolete. They are coming on Monday.
It's 32 volumes plus some yearbooks.
