Although the loft has been sorted we have plenty of things left over in the rest of the house so think this weekends challenge is just what I need. Will start tomorrow. Thanks for the motivation!

I smiled at the 'disease known as 'Meh, I CBA'. I did a survey for Ipsos and the 'neutral' category had been renamed 'Meh'...

Decluttering will have to wait until Sunday, busy all day tomorrow.

    Evening all,

Who's up for a challenge this weekend? Shall we try and be even more brutal? How about getting rid of 40 things this weekend - just 20 things a day?

I will focus on the master bedroom - I'll be back to report on progress later. :)

Count me in Please. I couldn't complete the challenge last week as was poorly but will try my best this time. Though I may only do it for 20 as I am not in tomorrow.

Well the first thing to go today was the patio table that DH bbq'd when trying to burn old paperwork mentioned in previous post.

  • Oh dear - getting broody was NOT part of the plan:rotfl:

Major declutter in bedroom planned for this weekend - new mattresses coming next week so it'd help if we can get to the beds! First thing to go will be the baby car seat - youngest is now 3 and a half, so long overdue as we weren't planning any more. We'll see where we go from there, but 40 should be easily reachable.
    God luck everyone!

oh dear, all my good intentions to spend the day decluttering......

I had to go into town for some bits for our visitors to eat tomorrow, and ended up buying another 8 storage boxes from Rymans (but they are Really Useful), 2 new jigsaws (for me for Mother's Day from the girls), and a quilt cover from the charity shop to cut up to make cloth bags from!

Although this stuff will temporarily clutter up the house, as soon as I get back to tidying my craft room again it will all disappear into the storage boxes stacked neatly into the cupboards, the quilt cover will be housed with the rest of the fabric, and the jigsaws will go in the top of my wardrobe along with all the other ones!

However, I am still decluttering and have so far sorted out about 70 odd rubber stamps that I no longer need/use. I've also yet to go through my wardrobe, the bookcases and DVDs, so I'm going to find 40 things by tomorrow night. It just might take a bit of time, that's all!
Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing
