I read this and persuaded DH to go to the recycling centre - we looked like hillbillies as the 'stuff' had almost taken over by the back door :
2 sacks of tetra-packs,
a dead pedal bin (metal skip)
2 dead IKEA standard lamps (they seem to have a limited life & can't be repaired
a bag of garden stuff from November:o
the bits from the boiler Homeserve left behind
a split washing up bowl etc etc
If I get a wiggle on we can make it to the charity shop with the collection from the last 2 months
It's got to be 20 items worth all togetherI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Hello Ziggy and welcome
count me in for the mini challange 20 things in a weekend.0 -
This week I finally sorted the pile of paperwork which was on the dining chair (been there a few weeks, but forgot it was there until I pulled the chair out earlier in the week, lol!), most of it has been shredded/recycled. I've put two boxes (which contain paperwork/software from both our computers, and were stored beside the computer desk) in the spare room until I have time to get the contents sorted. I put some old batteries in the recycling box at work, OH took the rest of the recycling to recycling centre this morning, and I've sorted out another bag of old Christmas/birthday cards, and put most of them out for recycling.
Posted a small ebay parcel earlier in the week, only some postcards but every little helps, and I've also got bids on 2 other items which finish on Wednesday. Finally sorted out my used stamps ready to be sent to charity, hopefully I'll get them put in the post box tomorrow and they will be out of the way.
I'm out tonight, but count me in for the mini challenge, I'll see what I can find tomorrow, good luck everyone!Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

2 more of my ebay items have bids on them. Once this lot of auctions runs out, I will be listing a lot more with a delayed start date so that I can just throw them all on together next time there's a free listing day. I aim to keep things togther in a lundry basket because I worry about things getting lost or damaged between listing and posting.
DH has spent the day planting seeds ready for the summer. We need to sell lots of plants to fund raise for DS's school to build new classes. They need £125000 from the parents of 147 childrenwe've had harrasment for this for 2 years already and DS has 18 months left there. I can't wait for him to leave!

:T My FIL wouldn't let me have the magazine from his newspaper with Prof Cox article, as he collects them all. I think he has more need than me of a declutter.
