Ran out of steam a bit in the past week. Just one bag of rubbish out and recycling box filled as will be picked up on Tuesday.

Got loads of stuff (electrical) that charity shop won't take. I've never used Freecycle/Freegle. Any tips for listing?

Make sure you include postal area - and give a good description of whats on offer and if working or need repair.

Feel free to include any limitations on time - eg evening collection only please (between 5-7pm), or specify a day (eg pick up on Thursday or Friday afternoon).

Dont feel you have to let the first person to reply have things. Not everyone is able to stay online all the time. I usually only consider those who send a polite response.

It's up to you whether you give people a contact number - but if you do, then only send it those who are actually coming to collect.

Right getting rid of 20 things mini challenge:

    1. Hair styling product, I didn't like, hardly used (to a friend)
    2. Magazine (friend)
    3. Bag of toiletry bits (friend)
    4. Grout pen, bought in wrong colour (charity)
    5. Bag of DVDs (charity)

Right that's a quarter of the way there! woo hoo!

Gave the kitchen a mini blitz (in anger, always a good motivator!):
    6. Coffee capsules packaging (recycling)
    7. Photoframe returned (shop)
    8. 9. Used up some toiletries as part of that challenge, packaging non recyclable (bin)

Right - nearly halfway there. :A

I'm in seeing as I'v just had a charity bag put through the door.
And I'v been going through the cd's and dvd's [all freebie's from paper]

    OUT
    4 CD's
    8 Dvd's

And that's just going through 1 pile of stuff, got another 2 to go:eek:
    :j:j:jmore stuff gone yay :j:j:j
Our local charity shop sells those "freebie" DVDs - when I last checked they had hardly any - so they're popular!

Our charity shop doe's a mixture of selling or taking up to the hospice[mainly kiddie's one's] so if the family want they can watch

And I'v been through another pile and got another

    6 Dvd's
    3 cd's
    and 2 vidio's
also a tin of gloss used up doing the door's this weekend.
    Total 25 thing's gone.
    £71.93/ £180.00
  • Filled a charity bag with old coats and another one with books.

2 boxes of children's clothes sold today & £30 into the mortgage repayment fund.

More clothes hopefully going later in the week & more to list. My coat & shoe cupboard will soon be free of boxes so that it can be decorated & new coat & shoe storage put in it. (bought 4 months ago but cupboard was so rammed there was no way it could be used at the time)

Off to tackle the ironing basket so that all school uniform & work clothes are ready for tomorrow
