  • cutiepie (hugs) it's horrible when things get you down. Have you sat down and explained how it makes you feel? Could you get rid of the stuff you bag up more quickly (so it's not hanging around so people can 'rescue' things from them).

I had another charity bag through the door last week, and it was collected, full, on Tuesday. Various bits and bobs from my wardrobe - I am still slowly, slowly decluttering that, and a few new make up bags (given away free with magazines) and some shoes that hurt - all gone!

I have bought a few bits and bobs of clothes for our holiday - mostly replacing things I've got rid of :T
Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

I dread to think how many golf bags we have in our house/shed/garage.
Both DH and DS are golfers and their stuff seems to multiply.
Also I can`t believe how many ball markers, pencils, pens and golf tees I find lying around the house.

Don`t really mind though because it`s a sport they both enjoy (most of the time lol) :)

Finally managed to empty the carrier bag full of stuff out of the car.
Bought it in about a month ago when I took the car for a service.
Found 6 football programmes (which have to be put into storage) and about the same amount of CD`s.
An old pair of prescription sunglasses - 2 prescriptions ago. Wonder if any of my local opticians would like them for recycling?

Managing to keep up with the paper shredding but still trying to sort work drawers.

Ironing mountain was finally conquered on Monday but has now started to grow again.

Really must find time to sort out the bedroom drawers and wardrobes.

    Happy decluttering everyone :)

50 items boxed up for music magpie, will get approx £25 for them so I'm happy with that as they would probably have gone to the CS :j

Our local opticians (incl Specsavers) take old prescription glasses to send to third world countries, they wont take the cases however so they had to go in the bin!

Thank you guys, i REALLY appreciate your support. and you are right i need to sit down and talk about how it is making me feel - both at work and at home. i just feel like i'm hitting my head against a brick wall at the moment. had an especially bad day yesterday as a council worker decided to give me an ear bashing for something that wasnt even my responsibility, but did i defend myself? no, i took it all and got angry and upset afterwards. i REALLY need to stick up for myself more! and at home, i dont want to end up in a one sided relationship where i am doing everything and getting frustrated as there is no reciprocation, so i really need to nip it in the bud now.

ok, not really a decluttering as such, but i picked up mine and my DS bikes from halfords today. they had been sitting in yard getting rusty and i finally took them to be repaired, so that is good as weather should start warming up and nights get lighter. saying that, we had frost today. this climate is STUFFED!!

    thanks again.xxxx

Ready to go out - yet another bag of books to CS. I've discovered that a second look at bookshelves a few weeks after a first often means I add books to the pile that I would have kept, previously.
Also today, I found a particular favourite that I had thought lost - Nella Last's War. The best war diary ever, by a country mile.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.
