    So yesterday I:

sold 4 things on ebay - 2 posted out today, 2 packaged up waiting for payment.
listed 6 more things on ebay and relisted 1 that was unsold
I used to always package things up read for posting... until one time I got all the parcels muddled up when I stuck the labels on them, so they ended up going to the wrong buyers :rotfl::o

I always read this thread buy rarely post. I've always got 'declutter declutter declutter' at the back of my mind, but know not to set myself any targets as I rarely meet them and end up disappointed!

Must say that these first two months of 2011 have possibly been the most productive of any for me, in terms of battling the clutter. I have one particular wardrobe that is a haven for all the stuff I intend to ebay but never get around to it. I will at some point post a photo to shame myself into action :o

:) I was on a roll last night and busily decluttering. Helps that I only have dial-up internet and that it's off between 4pm and 2 am. When people ask why I don't have broadband I plead poverty but that's only part of the story. The real reason is that I know I'd play around all evening on the internet and not get anything else done.:o

    Off the premises today:

4 blouses to the C.S. 1 pair of boots ditto,

1 knackered handbag hairbrush, into the bin.

:D Am having a bit of freezer de-cluttering which will result in some odd meals, but no one can shoot you for it; I shall have onion bhagis for breakfast, hee hee.

    Working on.....the bathroom.

:) Bathroom stuff; using up last year's suncream as handcream and a few other toiletry bits. Need to reorganise the bathroom storage as at the mo everything which isn't on the shelf by the sink is in a plastic storage stool parked on the back of the bath and it's a rummage to retrieve stuff. Thinking if I could source something like a tall and very skinny drawer unit it could stand in the same place. Narrowly missed out on the perfect thing at Oxfam last month; a rattan drawer unit on a metal frame. Better luck next time. ;)

:) Keep up the good work and keep posting. It's so motivating to read what the rest of you are achieving.

  • I'm looking at all my stuff (andmy OH's) with new eyes - is it useful is it beautiful? It's amazing how much has just sat around for years without me seeming to notice it!

Today - one orange folder recycled for use at work

Not much decluttering done yet. Put my Table Top Oven on preloved & freeads - fingers crossed. Tidied out my small desk drawer - nothing decluttered except for a couple of toilet roll inners that I used to keep some of my cables tidy - not sure where I heard of this but its good as you can write on the inner what the cable is for - time & temper saver:T Gonna try to clear up some of the 'office' (small bedroom/computer room = junk room) Just need to keep going - keep going - keep going:o

  • Today's outs:

Teach Yourself Russian CD and book set to charity shop
Several old books no longer on reading list ditto

Another batch of books to go to the charity shop tomorrow (finally clearing out my bookshelf!) The only INs for today are some punched pockets, which DH needed for his filing.

Of the 22 things I listed on ebay on Saturday 2 have bids (would be 2 of the smallest things lol) and several others have watchers so hopefully a few things will sell and I'll make some pennies too :)

OH booked Valentine's Day off work as a surprise, and guess where we ended up? At Argos buying a couple of bookcases lol. One to go in the conservatory and the other purely for the shelves as OH wanted to drill some extra holes in the 2 bookcases in the living room to fit extra selves so he can actually fit all his Blu-Rays on! It worked out cheaper buying a flatpack bookcase then buying separate shelves. So, the 2 bookcases look a lot tidier and all the little things that got put on the shelf edges have been tidied away/binned.

My aim for this week and next week (half term) is to get the living room totally tidy and decluttered; get and keep the kitchen sides clear; sort through the DD's wardrobe and drawers; get the wallpaper steamer thing out of the box and actually use it to strip the paper in the spare room (2 layers on top of 2 layers of paint = very hard and slow work with a scraper which is why I gave it up as a bad job in October!); make a start on and FINISH the Room of Doom aka the playroom.

Pretty please decluttering fairy, help me to get it done!!
