Have you checked what status it says in your account? Click on the account link in your ebay and scroll down to the seller dashboard
Thanks. Just been on there to have another look and wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I STILL can't access it ! I'm logged in and all but each time I click on the link, it says that I am not eligible to access this feature. Is it because I've not sold anything recently enough?
    This is so annoying!

ETA: I've had an email from them to a different account. It states that it is subject to terms and conditions. So I still can't do it.
I decided to bite the bullet and list one thing on there. Aw to heck with it, I'll just get on with it and list everything. I'm fed up of the mess tbh and it's just another form of procrastination. Whatever I earn from the listings will be a bonus in my pocket and will go one step closer to paying off my mortgage or buying DS a bureau (if I ever find one that's suitable!).
    Keep on keeping on :D

Wonder if.................you listed one item today - would that maybe unlock the seller account? Cause you'd get charged a listing fee (if its over 99p) so you'd have a seller account then.

Dunno if it'd definately work though

    PudseyDB:

yep, total disaster. Especially if you are trying to get all the crafting stuff in one place, all the books in one place, all the paperwork...

    you get the idea:D

Sometimes you have to get rid of the obvious stuff before getting on to the sort it out bit. Depending how disorganised you were in the first place, she says, whistling nonchalantly and sidling towards the door:whistle:

  • I've finally got down far enough in the piles of fish(!) to find the 2 broken laptops - I now need some advice please.
They'll both turn on, but the screens don't work. One's Windows, the other is Linux. I've used both in the dim and distant past to access things like internet banking, so ideally I'd like to completely clear any info on them, but don't know how without seeing what I'm doing! Hope that makes sense.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi, i have the same problem with my old laptop - if you have a spare monitor (or someone who'll lend you one!) you should be able to plug that in to the laptop to see what you're doing! I don't know how you actually clear the info completely though..

Pudsey DB - yes, tidying up does make a mess - I often run out of energy & things stay half done for months :o

I don't know whether I'm ahead or not at the moment, the living room already seems to be getting more 'lived in'. And I'm still trying to catch up on washing up...

But did spend some time in the study & tidied/cleaned the desk, :) a few bits & bobs in the bin, one book to go back downstairs, 3 dead batteries for recycling..And Have 3 books to get rid of..

tomorrow black bags & recycling go out so that will be good, hopefully rest of rubbish from having the work done will go, instead of cluttering the back yard..Away for the weekend so today will be trying just to do the most urgent..

I do too Pudsey! I've now listed 4 items on thebay. Lots more to do so hopefully I'll catch up with myself later.
I'm still not sure if I have the nerve to list used knicks as *fetish* items though :rotfl:. Certainly won't do it in with this lot as I've pointed people to look at my other auction items which include lots of different things and collection available .
I appear to have missed lunch too and I'm hank marvin now :o.

:) Yeah, that happens to me, too. You tear up the whole place and seem to have to make things ten times worse in course of making them better. And am I the only one who finds some decluttering emotionally exhausting? The mental anguish involved with parting with some things is unbelievable. I can quite see why some people avoid it altogether.

Took a day off yesterday to have lunch with my sister, she and I have not been getting on well as our ill, very elderly mother used to play us off against each other. Mum has now slipped away but the sisterly frost has lingered. But yesterday we had a nice lunch and she has offered to come and stay for a WEEK and help me declutter. I am so pleased as she will be a real help and it won't be embarassing, so things are looking up. I didn't want to get back to it today but have sent 3 bags of out of date foods (SOOOO wasteful) to the tip with OH, one bag of manky jamjars I couldn't get the labels off and a sack of newspapers. Hoorah !

yes I find this...I have to discipline myself not to pull out more than I can deal with in the time I have...not easy, esp when I'm feeling in a manic decluttering mood!

morganlefey - hope things go well with your sister...families are complicated things (glad it's not just mine!) view it as decluttering emotional baggage

we have a very comfy but very tatty armchair that I've put on freegle. We asked a friend how much it would cost to reupholster it and it would be £500 -£600 so really not worth it. Seems a shame. But we don't really have room for it, it's been getting in the way for a while now. Not sure if anyone will want it - it wouldn't look too bad if it was covered with a throw or maybe someone wants a project.
