  • I've finished off my bit of filing, and bought new files.

    Out

Two very tatty, broken lever arch files - bin
    Various papers etc - shredding
    Leaflets, brochures etc - recycling

    In

3 purple spotty files (now happily housing my organised paperwork)
Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

    In my wardrobe.
Does your dog have teeth? It looks like it's smiling :rotfl:.
How many towels is it acceptable to have? And do they actually breed when my back's turned? I got rid of tons of them last year and I still have a really deep pile. Wierd.
Someone persuade me to get rid of some more bedding too. My aim is 2 sets for the kids (each- in case of vomitty accidents at night) and 1 for us ('cause our sheets were £19 each  so I only bought one :o).

I think you need another set for your bed. Maybe wait for the sales again or look on ebay. The rest can go though.

I kept 5 sets for our bed (2 are flannel, all are Northern nights so good quality - got rid of the cheapy ones). 3 sets for sprogs double bed. One of those is for guests.

A single set for the airbed and a double set for the double airbed (all will be in use next weekend).

Hi All  decluttering going slowly but you eat an elephant a teaspoonful at a time! DH stained & varnished a cabinet to put the TV on - lots of room for all the cables to be stowed out of sight:jat long last! Had a chat with DDIL & it turns out she has a spare video & the 'thingy' & discs to change Videos to DVD's. She dropped it round last night - all I have to do is work out how to use it & turn about 150 videos to DVD's (just keep thinking of all the space it will free up :cheesy:) I also packed up my Halogen oven now I know how it works to take up to the caravan on the next trip. DH trimmed back our very large bay tree before the birds could start nesting in it again & the lovely recycly men emptied our green bag & a huge black bag too - thats it so far. I'll let you know how I get on with the technology:rotfl:
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle
