Do you have local hospitals /doctors'/dentists' surgeries that will accept the RD's? Today I've been mostly decluttering dust and cobwebs, lol!
I did a lot of tidying in our bedroom. I put all the shoes, that were in a jumble in the bottom of my wardrobe, into one of the storage boxes I bought, and then put that in the wardrobe so they are all neat now, even managed to get 2 pairs of boots in there too. Put two pairs of OH's shoes, a pair of his trainers and a box containing his golf shoes, in the bottom of his wardrobe.
Another box beside the bed on OH's side, which I thought had another pair of shoes in, had 18 audio cassettes inside, and as he's never likely to listen to them (only listened to them in the car and now has CD player), they have been put in the charity box. A broken drawer from a chest of drawers, has been put in the cupboard until I get around to fixing it, cleared all the crap off the window ledge, but had to put my ornaments back on there after cleaning them as I have nowhere else to put them at the moment.
Also put a spare hairdryer, some aftershave, and a heated scraper/hot key set, which were on the floor beside the bed into the top of the wardrobe, and did loads of hoovering and dusting. I can't believe how clear the bedroom looks, compared to how it used to be, although still got a bit to sort out. Also did 3 loads of washing, which has all been dried and put away.
A couple of nights ago, I was closing the back curtains in the lounge and something seemed strange, couldn't think what it was at first, then I realised that I wasn't having to reach across, or fall over anything to get to the curtains, I was able to walk from one side of the table to the other, as the floor is completely clear behind the table:j!
Got 2 more Ebay parcels to post, so may do that tomorrow. Now going to watch Hoarders, to give me a bit more inspiration to keep going on the de-cluttering front, lol!Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

Humming Mission Impossible Music Good luck!
I was going to go shopping today. Then I thought it might be a better plan to iron some clothes to wear instead of buying them.:o
It's even a bit worse than that. I got a gorgeous Philips steam generator iron to review from Amazon's Vine Voice scheme (I gave it five stars) so I have no excuse!Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Hi All,
had a really productive day yesterday, and have completed the 100 things in 10 days already:j (over 60 videos gone, audio tapes, old makeup, creams, 20 cook books and magazinesand then 2 bags of old unwanted toys plus lots of bags of rubbish bits of paper etc)
so decided to keep going and see if i can get rid of 100 carrier bags of things in 10 days, :Tthe Hoarders have even got invovled hence so much done, gave the little hoarders two bags each and told them to fill one with rubbish and the other with things for the charity shop. The big hoarder decided to help with the videos hence 60 videos gone (all his star trek collection:D) Next target is the bookcase and kitchen cupboards.
off to tackle the kitchen bye for now0 -
:shhh: Ssshhh! Don't tell anybody - but I've booked today and tomorrow off work and not told anyone so I can't be roped into anything. So really hoping to make a major dent in the clutter - just need to tear myself away from MSE first!:rotfl:0

Hello everyone, I've just caught up on the thread, and been taking inspiration from you all and over the last 2 nights have managed to stay off my computer and instead spend 30 minutes tidying/chucking and sorting out bags of stuff people have given me for my friend's charity shop. Finally also went through my post, some items were from Sept (oops -not bills luckily.)
Someone here asked about bank statements - I may regret it if I need to prove my address (but I still get one monthly mortgage statement) but it's one of the best de-clutter steps I have taken. I was forever always having piles of the flipping things.
Regarding re-cycling, would a neighbour share their box with you if they weren't using it all one week? My cat charity collects newspapers - do you have an animal rescue near you who may take these in (only absorbant ones....I think you can guess what they do with these...)
Inherited 'clutter' - sigh - when someone finds the answer with what to do with things you don't like or want but feel obliged to keep, please let me know...
Under the stairs seems to be a common theme - is anyone up for this as a weekend challenge? Sounds like a few people getting a head start on this one...:TLess stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -
Hello all havent updated on my list of 100 for a few days - but it stils going well (ish
) Going off to do a bit more in a bit when the kiddies are happy.
So good to read what everyone else is upto as gives me a good kick to get of my bum:D

I keep being given baby clothes and also boy clothes up to the age of 5-6 which is lovely of people but we just do not have the space to keep these bits for up to 5 years! I always take them as feel to bad but we really need to get rid of lots of them....and soon....
My understairs needs a good sort AGAIN (did have it all sorted till recently (and it has the most recent 2x bags of baby clothes stored in)) Would be up for the weekend challenge
Right off to do a little sorting while the kiddies (off poorly today) watch toy story....
