hi can someone tell me the absolute best card for CASHBACK or AIR MILES
American express seems to be good at 5% but alot are complaining about therir terminoligies etc
whats best advice0 -
Regarding the shell offer:
"Cash Back based on a minimum Shell pump price of £1.00 per litre"
&
"Your earned Shell Cash Back on all spend as shown on your statement will only be redeemable against the value of future Shell fuel purchases in Great Britain."
So at the moment its only for diesel. Even then the 6p/3p cashback is only when you buy more fuel, not actual cash.0 -
and the money... and the extra protection when buying... but not the interest, boooo to interest :cool:0 -
This is the only thing I like about credit cards.. Freebies.. Other than that.. nah..
There's a lot more to credit cards than a couple of free CDs.
(I also acknowledge poker_face's statement about protection)You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0 -

Only says the calculation it quotes (ie 6p off a litre) is based on a minimum Shell pump price of £1.00 per litre (ie 6%)
- can't see it says that the pump price has to be over £1 to get cashback - I have been getting cashback on 90p a litre.0 -
Since i have got a Credit card, the consumer bills every month is an half of my salary, so i found that credit card is no benefit to saving and manage money.
Would between 1% and 5% of your annual essential spend as cashback be worth putting in your pocket/spending over the bar/buying new clothes with? You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0 -

As a borrower, their credit rating isn't overly important to you, apart from the risk that they might transfer your debt to someone less favourable if they went under. I guess the only big risk would be if they demanded immediate payment and you wanted to use the card for long term credit. Personally, I would always recommend against using cards for that and would always advocate using them as a monthly bill-amalgamation tool. You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0 -
