Got my wine yesterday.
Thought I'd dropped on and got 12 due to the size of the box, but sadly it was just too much packaging.
Still 6 free bottles of wine though. Hurray!0 -
Hi there everyone. I'm completely new to credit cards, and I am interested in the Sony deal, getting 4000 points after you spend on the card (planning to buy a £3 book from play.com).
I just wanted to know, after i have bought my book, been allocated my points, paid off my card debt of £3 using my debit card, and received my chosen item from the shop, can I then cancel the card? If not, can I simply not use it again, cut it up, I wont incur any charges in the future will I?
Sorry for asking such a newbie question. But I didnt want to do it without knowing what was going on.0 -
I have come across this site http://www.claimbackmoney.co.uk/index.php/Credit-Cards/Credit-Card-Claims.html. I am not sure if this true or not. I am surprised it has not been mentioned here. My god if it is true then lets party.:beer:0

Thank You Bobertiebob, it also appears to have a 0% on purchases and balance transfers for the first 6 months. I have just set up the halifax 10 months 0% on all purchases otherwise this would be an ideal card. Would be good for anyone coming to the end of their 0% purchase offer and use the 0% balance transfer facility and still have 6 months more of 0% on purchases. Good Spot!!0

Just came across this on the M&S Website. Apply for the M&S Card, spend on it (any amount - no minimum) within 4 weeks of receiving the card and you will get a free case of wine.
Link is here:

Apply for the M&S Card, spend on it (any amount - no minimum) within 4 weeks of receiving the card and you will get a free case of wine.Upon first sniff, I thought I detected a hint of pecan and some herb I can't quite put my finger on, but was quickly overwhelmed by the high alcohol content. The taste didn't really give me a lot of spice, although I did get a little black pepper. I found this wine to be a bit off-balance, given the high acidity and lack of tannin. The finish is long, but not particularly pleasant, in fact, it reminded me of tire rubber. It seemed to improve a bit as it breathed, but not so much as to make me want to buy another bottle, or finish this one. You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0

I have the above card, and have already qualified for the 20,000 Diamond Club miles. Does anyone know, that if I cancel the card, then re-apply in say two months time, if I would be able to get the miles again added to my 'account' ?
Thanks0 -

Extremely unlikely, IMO. Normally, if you close down an account, you lose your entitlement to unclaimed rewards.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -

So if the offer is still on, and they accept you, and there isn't a rule to say points can only be added once, then you should be OK.
edit - mine wasn't the BMI airmiles card, but an ordinary BMI cisa/mastercard which put points into a linked frequent flyer program - sounds the same, but wasn't classed as an airmiles card I don't think. You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0
